Giving "The Cringe" it's own channel seems like it could be a potential way to streamline and to possibly keep peoples confusion about the character to a minimum. It's almost like you could do 3 channels, a PG family friendly channel, an artistic channel, and "The Cringe" Channel. I think that "The Cringe" is just solid gold! It is brilliantly executed every time, it's completely unique and stands out in the sea of youtube commentary, and it conveys something seemingly personal and specific to who you are. It may just need its own featured place and focus to really take off in a massive way! I look forward to whatever you end up doing as always. Thanks for the great content!

I sub to you because I see your talent and am also a TH-camr with a family to take care of. I’ve always just felt you were genuine. And that’s rare on here. Had this on my mind too. I've always thought The Cringe episodes were absolutely next level from a creative standpoint but they also probably require twice the amount of work. These alone should have generated a gazillion subs because there is clearly an audience for that on TH-cam, Crowbcat is the proof of that. Just like Adam, he's a master at clever editing and satirical except he doesn't show his face or post vids regularly.

You were one of the first channels I subbed to when I took an interest in movies, and I was SHOCKED when I saw that you only had a few thousand subs. The quality of your videos is so far above 99% of the other yt movie critics. Its a shame that youtube disagrees, but to me (and many others Im sure) you are in the top tier of critics. I have laughed my ass off watching the cringe and movie boss so hard to the point where I’ll watch something like GOT and think “Adam is going to have a field day with this”. I appreciate the smart move separating the content onto two platforms; I’m a diehard, but I can see why the format was confusing to the casual viewer. You are the man! If I could make one small suggestion though, it would be to get a better mic. This channel has always looked nice visually, but you don't sound quite as clear as other movie reviewers which can help amplify the quality of your videos. I know great mic's don't grow on trees and it's not a bother to me, but it could help grab the attention of new fans.
Any suggestion? I use a Rode mic currently. I think it's better than previous ones but if you still notice a big drop-off; well that's not good either.
@@AdamDoesMovies Sadly I'm no expert on mic's, I'm just going by what I'm hearing sorry lol. But yeah like I said it's not a big deal, but I do think there is some room for improvement in that area. You don't have to change it if you don't want to, it's just something to think about.
Oh I think about that stuff ALL the time. It's a constant struggle. For now I have to make due. Once (if) I hit big numbers I'll absolutely put money back into new tech.

I think this is a power move, the only downside being that your best content will be on your second channel. You’re one of my favorite and most slept on youtubers and I wish you nothing but success. I've been a subscriber to your channel for only a few months. I want to say a few things and I hope you will read this comment. Your point about the experience of new subs being disorienting is 100% accurate for me, you described what I thought when I didn't understand what the channel was about very precisely. I wanted to unsubscribe but I waited to figure out what the channel was like. I think I did it because I read something that you wrote and I liked it, it was about engagement with the viewers, so it's two for two on good points that you made in this video. Lately I've read your comments on YT and I thought "this guy is losing it". I get that you want to make changes to the channel and to improve it, but you seemed a bit obsessed by it, and as someone who liked the content the way it was, I wasn't sure you were taking the right steps with all the talking about creating new shows, suppressing Deep Inside Movies and creating a new channel. After watching this video I get where you are coming from and I support your decision to make changes. I have renewed respect for you, there is something very admirable in someone trying hard to pursue their passion and not taking a passive stance when things don't go the way they planned. As Cave Johnson once said "I’ve been thinking. When life gives you lemons? Don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought is could give me lemons!" The best and worst thing about this video is that it looks pretty improvised. It's not very efficient, you lose your train of thought a bit, but it also very sincere, your motivation and passion really come through. I'm a bit said to hear that you will take it down, there are good reasons to do it, but as I said I like the video and I like what I was able to learn about you by watching it. So maybe think about keeping it. I subscribed to the new channel and personally I am much more interested in the content that is going to end up over there. Anyway you have my support. Thank you for the well-thought-out reply to this video. I'm glad that I'm at least understanding the confusion people have been having here and that it's entirely my fault. I'm often my own worst enemy when it comes to my channel and I'm really trying to rectify that. This video was meant to be a bit disjointed and messy because that's how I am these days. I'll probably just make this video unlisted after a few weeks and not fully remove it. It is after all just for the current subscribers. I would hope in that time frame everyone that cares will have watched. Thank you for subscribing to the new channel. I'm excited to produce content to both. Mainly out of sheer interest to see which one performs better over time. I'm optimistic that this is the right call even though it's going to require pulling down and reuploading hundreds of videos along with losing the views/likes/etc.

I'll be honest in the past when I recommended your channel to other people it was hard to describe it for the same reason you said here. I think you made the right call here. You deserve the half a million+ subscribers you aspire to and this is probably the best way to do it. I don't mind subscribing to 2 of your channels. A lot of youtubers will have a main channel and a secondary one. I can tell all the hard work and passion you put into your videos. Just play the game with youtube like you said.
I'm going to miss raw and uncut Adam on this channel, that being said you have so much potential. There's no doubt in my mind that you could join the upper eschelon of movie reviwers such as Stuckman if you conform. Either way you will always have my support like you have since you were movie feuds.
I love the cringe! That's the first video I ever saw of you and I loved your sarcasm. I also liked your rant videos. I'll keep watching man. I hope you can make it work, I think you can do it. I remember when I started watching Doctor Wolfula for the same reasons, I liked his sarcasm and commentary. When I started watching him he was at 5k subs and over the past few years he's got up to over 80k subs. You can do it man.

Bro I've been subscribed to you since the early days when you collabed with the schmoes for movie feuds. Now, I'm only subscribed to your channel and nostalgia critic. Your content is funny and creative. Its shocking how you are still so low on subscriber count. A little bit of feed back on movie boss: I hope you will go all out and create episodes with actual plots. That would be really fun to watch. I know you can pull it off. One example is how nostalgia critic incorporates plots within his review. I wish you all the best and keep up the hard work.

I think the best thing about your channel is you and your opinions. Those alone could make it on youtube. I think maybe the look and appearance of your video isn't as homemade and personal as some. I think some of the graphics/visuals/editing could be altered to be a bit more appealing. And don't be afraid to do a bit of 'clickbait'. You don't have to lie, just make videos you think people want to see, that you want to make, and don't worry so much about being that 'perfect' youtuber. I've never wanted anyone to rise to youtube success more than you.

Good luck Adam! You ever thought of doing a movie news type show? Its kind of a small space, the popular movie news ppl are: grace randolph, john campea and screen junkies. There was this chick...perri (?) She had a movie news show but now she works for screen junkies. Out of all these ppl i like grace the best but i think you could do well in that space.
I appreciate that but a news show requires time and dedication. I just don't have the resources to stay that caught up on it with all my other stuff. I did have a short-lived news type show called "Working Title". You can find that playlist on this channel. I was very proud of it but alas it didn't go anywhere do to the company losing their funding.
I actually like this approach. I was checked out with most of "The Cringe" stuff. I liked Movie Boss but even that felt our of place at times. Of course... i won't shit on one of the good reviewers we have on TH-cam. Best of luck.
Adam - what I liked about your stuff is that it was movie reviews (movie dissection?) for the discerning audience member - a little more sophisticated and subtle than the other stuff. I don't watch the other guys because its boring - You are not like them, you are better - Your Cringe 'Last Jedi' was different to anything else on the net. You do have something special. I'm attempting to cater to both now I guess. I always was but it was a gigantic mess. Now I'm separating out my "smarter" videos such as The Cringe and Adam Rants to my second channel and this main one will be the shows that got me here in the first place. Movie Feuds and Best & Worst videos. I plan on uploading to both channels weekly. I'm excited to see which one performs better over the next year.

Hi Adam, I have always enjoyed your humour and your videos regardless of channel or branding. You remind me of some of my dearest and funniest friends. I have sensed for some time that you may be a little lost or unsure, (I am not psychic)? This is my advice from one crazy to another. The attention span of viewers is really, really, really small ( I am sure that I got this from one of your rants ). Although EVERYTHING you say makes complete sense, you need to condense it to such a small package and time span that 'normal folk' won't click away to main stream bull shit. What ever you choose to do I hope it goes great; to me you are one of the most truely, entertaining, out there, Subs I have.

It was created for The Property Bros. app that failed. Don't ask me how they found me, I'm still confused myself. Once it failed they said I could continue it and post the old videos to my channel. It was a lot of work to make though so I just posted the old ones.

I've been a subscriber to your channel for only a few months. I want to say a few things and I hope you will read this comment.
Your point about the experience of new subs being disorienting is 100% accurate for me, you described what I thought when I didn't understand what the channel was about very precisely. I wanted to unsubscribe but I waited to figure out what the channel was like. I think I did it because I read something that you wrote and I liked it, it was about engagement with the viewers, so it's two for two on good points that you made in this video.
Lately I've read your comments on YT and I thought "this guy is losing it". I get that you want to make changes to the channel and to improve it, but you seemed a bit obsessed by it, and as someone who liked the content the way it was, I wasn't sure you were taking the right steps with all the talking about creating new shows, suppressing Deep Inside Movies and creating a new channel.
After watching this video I get where you are coming from and I support your decision to make changes. I have renewed respect for you, there is something very admirable in someone trying hard to pursue their passion and not taking a passive stance when things don't go the way they planned. As Cave Johnson once said "I’ve been thinking. When life gives you lemons? Don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought is could give me lemons!"
The best and worst thing about this video is that it looks pretty improvised. It's not very efficient, you lose your train of thought a bit, but it also very sincere, your motivation and passion really come through. I'm a bit said to hear that you will take it down, there are good reasons to do it, but as I said I like the video and I like what I was able to learn about you by watching it. So maybe think about keeping it.
I subscribed to the new channel and personally I am much more interested in the content that is going to end up over there. Anyway you have my support. Keep doing your thing and trying hard.
Thank you for the well-thought-out reply to this video. I'm glad that I'm at least understanding the confusion people have been having here and that it's entirely my fault. I'm often my own worst enemy when it comes to my channel and I'm really trying to rectify that.
This video was meant to be a bit disjointed and messy because that's how I am these days. I'll probably just make this video unlisted after a few weeks and not fully remove it. It is after all just for the current subscribers. I would hope in that time frame everyone that cares will have watched.

I'll be honest in the past when I recommended your channel to other people it was hard to describe it for the same reason you said here. I think you made the right call here. You deserve the half a million+ subscribers you aspire to and this is probably the best way to do it. I don't mind subscribing to 2 of your channels. A lot of youtubers will have a main channel and a secondary one. I can tell all the hard work and passion you put into your videos. Just play the game with youtube like you said.
My favorite videos you make are your rants on terrible movies ie justice league and fallen kingdom hope we get content like that on Adam Olinger

I remember when I started watching Doctor Wolfula for the same reasons, I liked his sarcasm and commentary. When I started watching him he was at 5k subs and over the past few years he's got up to over 80k subs. You can do it man.

A little bit of feed back on movie boss: I hope you will go all out and create episodes with actual plots. That would be really fun to watch. I know you can pull it off. One example is how nostalgia critic incorporates plots within his review. I wish you all the best and keep up the hard work.

I think the best thing about your channel is you and your opinions. Those alone could make it on youtube. I think maybe the look and appearance of your video isn't as homemade and personal as some. I think some of the graphics/visuals/editing could be altered to be a bit more appealing. And don't be afraid to do a bit of 'clickbait'. You don't have to lie, just make videos you think people want to see, that you want to make, and don't worry so much about being that 'perfect' youtuber. I've never wanted anyone to rise to youtube success more than you.

Good luck Adam! You ever thought of doing a movie news type show? Its kind of a small space, the popular movie news ppl are: grace randolph, john campea and screen junkies. There was this chick...perri (?) She had a movie news show but now she works for screen junkies. Out of all these ppl i like grace the best but i think you could do well in that space.
I appreciate that but a news show requires time and dedication. I just don't have the resources to stay that caught up on it with all my other stuff. I did have a short-lived news type show called "Working Title". You can find that playlist on this channel. I was very proud of it but alas it didn't go anywhere do to the company losing their funding.

Hi Adam, I have always enjoyed your humour and your videos regardless of channel or branding. You remind me of some of my dearest and funniest friends. I have sensed for some time that you may be a little lost or unsure, (I am not psychic)? This is my advice from one crazy to another. The attention span of viewers is really, really, really small ( I am sure that I got this from one of your rants ). Although EVERYTHING you say makes complete sense, you need to condense it to such a small package and time span that 'normal folk' won't click away to main stream bull shit. What ever you choose to do I hope it goes great; to me you are one of the most truely, entertaining, out there, Subs I have.

It was created for The Property Bros. app that failed. Don't ask me how they found me, I'm still confused myself. Once it failed they said I could continue it and post the old videos to my channel. It was a lot of work to make though so I just posted the old ones.
