We visited Simana View Point Near Darjeeling on 15.10.2022.
The day was clear with sunlight. Never expected such an awe-inspiring sight.
The place was a mesmerizing sight in the clear blue sky, we were lucky. A place worth spending some quality time. At a distance of 6 km from Pashupati Bazar, 20 km from Mirik and 24 km from Darjeeling, Simana township is situated on the Darjeeling - Mirik road in Simana West Bengal. Located on the Indo-Nepal border, it is one of the popular viewpoints in Mirik and also one of the tourist places to visit in Mirik. Simana Viewpoint, situated at an altitude of 7500 feet, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding plains, the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kangchenjunga, and the small villages of Nepal. Simna means Indo-Nepal border area, the road itself belongs to India and the sighting area falls in Nepal. But visitors can freely cross to watch the breathtaking view. A long road from Simana towards Mirik acts as a separator between India and Nepal.
