At 4:00 you said " this is going to get a second coat" meaning the adhesive on the MDF edge. That reminded me of an experience that I had. Many years ago, my boss ( an old, experienced building contractor) was having some laminate applied to a work counter. He told me to tell the installer to put two coats on the MDF because it will soak up the first coat and the laminate won't stick well over the long term. He also warned me that the installer will object and will say that my boss was full of it. That was exactly how it played out. I told him to just do the two coats as I was instructed. So now, 40 years later, hearing you say that makes me believe that you really know what you're doing.
Bob, I love (too stong?) this channel. Everything you do is pretty much the way I would do it but I come here for verification. Meere talk does lead to poverty, and watching an experienced craftsman leads to inspiration and knowledge. Keep it it. One of the best maker/how-to channels on youtube.

Well that’s a cool story. Thanks for listening so carefully. Yes, I did a ton of laminate work in my early days of cabinet making .
Great content! This channel deserves better.
Thanks very much. I love doing this. Wish I had more time to do more.
Nice! Straight to the point, without any BS! Congrats!
