Out of ALL the Ebay related videos, Chris is by far the most motivating for me. He gets straight to the point with tons of actual valuable information AND he shows numbers that work & make sense. How lucky we are to be able to get all this information for free!!!! THANK YOU, Chris.
And that, right there, time for family. That is the MOST IMPORTANT element of having a job from home for me. I have 5 kids, yup, and I am at about $75 a day... sharing and teaching your RESALE, is such a gift for us. Thank you! I really appreciate all that you do!!
I listened to you say this yesterday and then right away, instead of just saying, "okay I'm going to try to list 10 items today," and then only actually getting a couple things out and photographing them, I actually got 10 things out and lined them up on the couch so they would stare me in the face all day until I did them. I did 11. Today I have my 10 things all ready to go and I actually wrote a schedule out. Thanks!
Chris, all the tips I get from your channel provide great motivation for me. Not everything applies directly, since I am a 74 year old retiree simply looking to supplement my retirement income and have fun. LIST CONSISTENTLY is my number 1 take away. Thanks for your inspiration.
Hi Chris, i have followed you from the start. i can honestly say you give the BEST advise and anyone who says differently or just dreamers or jealous. Keep the tips and tricks for us all. LOVE your work ;)
I have been refining the way I list and definitely can tell I get more accomplished when I don't have videos or music going. Maybe that's just me, but it helps to know what my distractions are. Thank you for the number breakdown. Getting up early is also working good for me. Before my 3 boys need me for EVERYTHING! 😄
Yep, so true about underestimating the time to source. I have to go on trips that take dozens of hours sometimes to get enough stuff to keep my store full. (I like to make 10X to 100X on my items, so I'm picky. I like sourcing though, so it's worth it for me!)
@@hello-li2gx I make $25 per item as a minimum, usually. :) It's just easier to look at the numbers as an X amount for me. It also feels more fun because I get to see things laid out on a "how much am I multiplying my money" basis.
Amazing Amazing Amazing. I consider ourselves new resellers since we started this business in November. We have so much to learn still and this is exactly what we needed to hear. Thank you so much for this info. I can't say it enough. Amazing!
Your breakdown into 3 is interesting. Getting myself into 10 listings a day is my goal and making sure that those listings potentially return me what $’s I am after. Thanks for the clear instructions and tips you share. Cheers, Maz.
Thank you for opening my eyes to only consider between $10-20 profit. I usually settle for less because I don't have a goal in mind. I use 200% profit but I think dollar goal is better. I will surely try this approach 😀
My model is currently different. However, I am always able to gain so much value from all your videos and advice. It is a good way to determine how you want to run your own business. What works for you etc. I appreciate the videos and the content Thank you
Great video as always! I've been more selective lately on my purchases. I'm running low on storage space so my plan is to be more selective on buying GREAT items at or over $10 profit and also better items but fewer. So instead of 25 average listings, I will list 10 excellent products.
Yep, very true about how little time it takes when you're actually working. I love how easy and fast it is! :) And I turn antique books--some that have ZERO comps, so if I can do it, anyone can!
You mentioned about pictures then listing. How does that work when having to add description? Do you write what you need to know about item while taking pics? Thanks! I enjoy your videos. Very helpful.
I think I could definitely do 10 per hour I'm an "everything" small time seller. My issue is just personal motivation, sometimes I open my drafts, make a face and close it again 🙃 🙄 however I do have another full time job and 2 children and a husband to care for so sometimes I'm just not in the mood. I'm trying to get out of that "I'm tired" mindset and just do it. I do find if I photograph by category and list all hats at once, it makes it much easier to get motivated. Thank you for the videos, I do use them as motivation!
Okay I'm really not interested in doing this myself, however I have seen a lot of videos on this subject because of the WILD claims fake gurus make. YOU have made an exceptional video that is honest. Mostly, I liked that you made it attainable and set expectations at the beginning. Great freaking video!
Great video, and I believe in the formula, but how many listings based on $20 average sale price do you need to reach to hit that goal of making $200 per day with a good sell through rate?
Hello Chist. When you talk about selling items 10 to $20 profit, are you taking in consideration the 25 or 30 % fee that Ebay takes away. Thanks. Great Channel by the way. Guillermo.
what are your thoughts on investing a bit of money in a service like vistaprint to create a sort of "thank you" or "calling card" to include in every package you ship? Something like "thank you for supporting our store, don't forget to leave a review or message us with any concerns. We hope to do business with you again. Just a little custom message to encourage feedback. Worth it? Also maybe thowing in a cheap freebie to help you stand out as a store, like a small branded sticker or something like that? A lot of aftermarket car brands or branded clothing suppliers include a sticker of their brand and I think that is super cool and would like to eventually include something like that for my buyers. Any thoughts?
Question for you I have children I take care of everything other week so my week off should I try to do 40 listings per day and schedule 20 of those listings to go up the following week? I usually cannot list the weeks I have the kids as of right now. I resource 2-3 days a week 4-5 hours on those days in the week I don't have kids? I am trying to up my game by buying better brands those brands are extremely hard to source in my area.
My biggest issue is sourcing. I can easily list 10 per day but working full time with a baby I do not have the time to go out sourcing, ive been having a hard time trying to find good places to consistently source online
How often does an item have to sell before you would consider picking it up? I buy items that have sold listings, but it seems like sales are slow. For reference I have an 800 item store. List 10-20 items a day and get 3-10 sales a day.
I find that a hard thing to accomplish. To find someone who you can trust, and also be confident that that person will do it correctly, is alot to ask. This business is not for everyone, and requires alot of focus to make it work
@@thishandleisnotavailable agreed. But you have to eventually focus on being out of the business instead of always "in it". Not discrediting sweat equity and doing everything at the start though.
@@raineoffyre True as that may be many businesses, I don't think this is one of them. Paying said person would be either flat-rate per day or commission based. Is this person capable of doing the same as yourself in the field? ie: do they know what to look for, what sells... what doesn't. Do they know where and when to go, how to negotiate, etc? If someone knows that much to be a viable option to help you, what is stopping them from doing it themselves, or even sidehustling off you while you carry all the overhead? IMO, it's not worth it aside from the occasional best friends or hubby/wife teams. *edit: If you are to that point where you feel comfortable enough to hire others, you may as well open a pawn/retail shop at that point, which in all honesty wouldnt be a bad gig if it's in the right location and overhead is low
@@thishandleisnotavailable It can work because I've legit met a few die hard collectors that admitted "that'd be my dream job" unfortunately I can't afford them currently and pay them per item they happen to find and bring me. You'll find some people don't want to bother with online sales as it seems "too hard" for them and they'd rather get the cash for treasure hunting locally.
I have 170 items listed Chris, I started selling on eBay in January and made 240 dallors my first month sold 8 items, I continue listing atleast 15 items a day and I haven’t t had a sale in 2 weeks , I don’t know what’s going on, my prices are below the average listing price and almost all my items are promoted, any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong? I work a Job where , once my work is done and I have no work orders I have down time ... I utilize my time , and do my self a service because of this ... It is why I work where I work .. another take for those who do not have the time to go sourcing because of kids, no car, etc, have you consider online sourcing? ebay, mercari, posh, etc. they are all apps and sites that you can use to look for items because regular people looking to get rid of clothes are going online more and more to sell. you can ask for deals and find good bundle packs that you can flip too. facebook market place is also good too. its just the same as going to brick and mortar, you have look through pages to find the right items. just online.
Of course, you can find $20+ Profit items, but I personally consider those home runs, and base my business around $10-$20 profit items. Cheers!
Unsure If You seen my video my main goal for 2022 is to try and list all my stock and my base profit is $5 I don't need to source .

I’m wondering if looking at an item as x amount of times as opposed to 20 an item is a better view
