@4:15 Wrong on expansion doubt. The 3 mile streetcar extension down Main Street to UMKC is nearly finished and will open next year. Also, the Riverfront extension is under construction and will also open next year. The 2 extensions will more than double the current streetcar line.
although there's a lack of political will to seriously pursue an East-West route, the extension southward is ahead of schedule and will motivate a great increase in ridership. the extension will connect to UMKC (in the background at 7:11) and the Plaza shopping center. many KC metro residents are adverse to riding busses with the infrequent service making the streetcar a more appealing transportation service (Troost Max line is still a favorite bus route of mine though)
an express route between the airport and Downtown is sorely needed. thankfully I take Amtrak all the time between KC and St. Louis with the KC Streetcar directly connecting to Union Station
yes, the St Louis MetroLink is incredibly more efficient than the KC Streetcar, and even more so than relying on the bus from the airport to downtown. there's been extensive studies on both a regional light rail system and another system that has been realized as the KC Streetcar with its extension. The need for the proposed regional light rail, akin to MetroLink, has become more obvious through time though
Hourly buses? Not a fan. I feel like they always try to make lackluster systems fare free...but instead they should be focusing on improving service. Make transit more equitable by having transit that doesn't suck instead.

Good to hear!

That's awesome to hear. The system's integration with the Transit app made riding all modes really decent, too.

The difference in modal quality and time spent getting to the airport is a big difference between STL & KC

Agree completely
