Yea trying to cleanly rip small trees up is awful with a excavator. Pinching it in the thumb just breaks the small sticks immediately. Scraping 6” off the ground just leave holes that have to be re covered. Running a mulcher or shredder over it just creates “stob country” which is basically a unusable area that u cant drive or walk on because it’s got little spears sticking up everywhere
@@smithworx1091 how you like the 309? Would you have gotten a 310 or any other machine or are you happy with the 309. Watching your videos as we speak lol
@@olyh9089 I love the 309. But..... knowing what I know now and with these bigger clearing jobs I'm getting into, I would've gotten a bigger machine. Just so I can get done faster. The 309 has taken down anything I've put it front of it. It's strong, fast and super responsive.
@@olyh9089 the 309 is the biggest machine I've ever worked with so it's hard to say. But I think a 313 to a 320 would be a better choice for heavy land clearing.
Got yourself a nice swamp to work in!
Yeah I haven't even made it back over there. I know it's gonna be bad

What size bucket you using? And what bucket size’s do you have?
I have a 24 and 36" I mainly use the 24 for clearing and breaking roots and the 36 for digging.
