Watching from Minneapolis. I just love "From Now On" -- and it has been on auto-play in my head ever since the TH-cam video came out. Need it on Spotify so I can add it to all of my play lists. So good. Also, SO GOOD to have Lindsay back -- missed her. And, what a message! Pastor Jesse really brought it. The challenge of not "playing church" was worth the price of admission in itself, but as I listened I kept thinking about how grateful I am that I live in the TH-cam era because I get to play this back as many times as it takes to fully consume all of the nuggets of wisdom and morsels of truth that he packed into his message.
My son considered visiting your church until we found this. I am a musician and worship leader. I can play on keyboard all of the secular music. It does not belong anywhere near a church. Discernment by the pastor isn't there at all. The music doesn't usher in the presence of God. Praise and worship is for Jesus. To show our love for Him. I will pray for you that you will repent of this worldy secular stuff and get back to real worship. God is not looking for hired hands and professional musicians. He wants us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God bless you all.
I very much agree with you. Unfortunately, Flatirons is a seeker, sensitive church… More concerned with making non-Christians comfortable then with “feeding the sheep”. I had really hoped they would stop playing secular music during “worship“, but they just can’t seem to let go of the world.
The dude running y'all sound board keeps drowning out the vocals with the guitar and drums. Stop pushing that lead guitar to drown out those awesome vocals. Also maybe not have Jesse bring up that awful diversity plug anymore, we don't need diversity politics in church. It was a comparison of tribes but Jesse's explanation was terrible. He didn't have confidence in the explanation.
Very well done today. God be with you all.
Great service thank you. Tuning in from Calgary Alberta 🇨🇦

Amazing sermon as always. It looks like parts of the music and instruments might be muted for online. Drummer is awesome!
