These look incredible! I've already done a creme brulee before, but I did the caramelised part under the grill (easier cleanup!). Another great filling is peaches and mascapone/honey.

For folks that are having trouble estimating the amount of egg needed for a batch: 1/2 egg per slice of bread, e.g. 6 slices of bread = 3 eggs. (**This is for single slice, not filled French toast. I cannot speak for the 2 slice toast Dolan made today)

We just call that " pain perdu ' (lost bread) cause we (or a least my mum) use the rest of a baguette that is too hard to be eaten like that, and just use milk and eggs and add some sugar when it's fried! But I must say I love the non french version of the french toasts :p !
Step 1: Make those French toast. Step 2: You just consumed enough calories for an entire month. Step 3: Next month make those French toasts again. Profit!

I agree! I checked twice & he didn't use the yogurt. Why go to the trouble of making it & showing it to us if he wasn't going to use it? An oversight I'm sure, what with three delicious french toasts waiting to be sampled. Maybe he needs some additional staff members to make sure he uses all the ingredients 🤔 Plus he might let us eat some that way too! 😏😂

Looks so good, and you're right, it's even better with brioche ! But I'm surprised you didn't add sugar in your egg mixture, that's how we would usually do it in France. I guess you already had a lot of sugar coming from the rest of the food :P
try making tunisian couscous plz I've never seen any chef do it, maybe that's because they only know maroccan one which is different from tunisian one so plz make it
I prefer savory/sweet French Toast with a filling of cream cheese & crumbled, crisp bacon; lightly browned in butter, then drizzled with pure Maple Syrup. ;-)
