“You take for granted all the times I never let you down” is in my lyrical HOF.
How can any Noth American (or European) have lived through the late 90s & early 00's and never heard of this band and more particular this song??
No Shittttt!!! I saw them 2x
I’m an old fart that mainly listens to 70’s music and I’ve heard this song countless times over the years.
I'm 25 and I've heard 70% or more of the music a lot of people on TH-cam react to. But both of my parents loved all music so when I was with either if them I was listening to everything
This track digs into the essence of being there for someone through thick and thin, and it wonders aloud if that same someone would reciprocate under the strain of tough times or if they’d bail when the going gets rough.
Singer wrote this while sitting in class during high school. 😊
Absolutely phenomenal group of guys. Did security for them on their 1st USO tour. Very down to earth and humble guys.
They’re still around, I saw them last summer with Candlebox. Check out When I’m Gone.
When I'm Gone, Here With Me, and It's Not My Time are three other huge radio hits of Three Doors Down. They are probably the most famous people from Escatawpa, Mississippi. Their chart career was the 2000's. Kryptonite came out in 2000.
I could have sworn it was earlier.
The whole video takes a queue from the Watchmen comics/ movie the days of super heros being there for the world, They grow old but still have a sense of honor knowing they have to do something for the world even though the world has really changed to forget them
How ? How has somebody never heard this song?
They have a song that really speaks to me called "When I'm Gone". The video and sing is dedicated to the troops.
It came out right before my fist Army deployment in 2002. There's one verse that really speaks to me . But when your education x-ray cannot see under my skin
I won't tell you a damn thing that I could not tell my friends
Been roaming through this darkness, I'm alive but I'm alone
And part of me is fighting this but part of me is gone.
When you come back after seeing horrible things no one can understand you but those who have been through it.
Also they have a song called "It's Not My Time" that is very good.
this is my favorite 2000s alternative rock song ever
I’m 53 years old, I had a very hard time with the change in music around 1995 on, heard this song at a bar I used to go to every Friday and Saturday night for the first time and really liked their music ever since.
My top favourite song by them is Love Me When I'm Gone. It's a fantastic song - and absolute BANGER.
I love that song!! 💖💖💖
These guys are an awesome live band and some of the most humble and appreciative rock stars out there!
This song was played so much on the radio, but I never got tire of it and I still love it. "When I'm Gone" would be a great next play from them.
This is a great song. It was my goto at Karaoke. A fun and powerful song that just jams!
Love this song! It was everywhere when it came out. There was no getting around it. 😂
no that you've tried 3 Doors Down, you MUST try the official video for Love Me When I'm Gone, filmed mainly on the USS George Washington in 2002. these guys did an awesome tribute for our troops and it's incredibly moving even today, 20+ years on...
I'd also recommend The Road I'm On. This is a more fun video where they brought in Dale Earnhardt Jr and Tony Stewart (both famous NASCAR drivers) to race around town in Chevy Tahoes, lol.
Great suggestion 😊
I knew the band, they're from Escatawpa, Mississippi. Great guys! They dont forget where they came from and absolutely loved our military!
This is my ringtone...love these guys!..💖💖
they were fantastic! "When I'm Gone" is my favorite!
I think I remember reading that the lead singer Brad wrote this song in a creative writing class or a math class or something like that in high school.
3 doors down are brilliant. I saw them live in London, UK and they was amazing!
I love their song "Here Without You". Such a great one!
I have seen them live like 10 times. Love this band.
The debut single of 3 Doors Down. It was originally released as a demo for local radio in Mississippi.
If not for me then you'd be dead
I picked you up and put you back on solid ground
Well worth exploring their catalogue.
one of my favorite bands. Lyrics are just so relatable
When I'm gone is definitely my favorite from these guys!!!
They are from southern Mississippi ,Jackson county. The band has gone through many changes since their fame..They had some great music." When I'm Gone " is another song of theirs.
This is really a Southern rock band .
ABSOLUTE BANGER! 🔥
One of my favorite songs… the video is also very interesting..
Awwww takes me back to my childhood
This was on the radio so much I started singing "If I go swimming then will you start calling me aquaman" just to drown it out. They had a great run around the turn of the century and beyond. When I'm Gone, Loser, Be Like That, Here Without You all great songs, among others.
It's not my time, here without you and one of my personal favorites that never got much play Landing in London is really great
Loser and Be Like That are some of my favorites from the same album that Kryptonite is on.
Great song.
"Here Without You" is a great 3 Doors Down tune.
Train and When I’m Gone by them are bangers!🔥
Great band!!😊
Thank you for showing this song, I like this one 👍🏻😀
This is their biggest hit and most popular song.
The video just detracts you from how amazing this song is.
Behind Those Eyes is a good one.
Just had to stop by right now!!! Love this one!!
Brad Arnold (lead singer)actually wrote this song in math class tapping his pencils on his desk. He was also the drummer of 3 doors down at the beginning.
Always loved this band, song and video! Also be sure to check out "Puddle of Mud"; She Hates Me, Psycho & Control, absolute Bangers, very similar style to 3-Doors Down.
Don't know these guys as well as I'd like too but 'When I'm Gone' I know is a great tune. Cheers.
In the dark is a banger from Three Doors Down.
Fun reaction guys
Hearing "Superman" over and over reminded me of a fabulous song by an underrated Canadian band, "Our Lade Peace", called "Superman's Dead". I would love it if you checked that one out! Thanks! Greetings from the east coast... NB.
How about" Happy Grunge" is that a thing? Love this song. High energy.
Definitely check out 3 Doors Down "When I'm Gone"!!!!
Strange video, Great song.
Such a banger as Phil would say 😂 Great reaction and Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️
The pride of Escatawpa/Ocean Springs….
Have you reviewed the band Queensryche yet. Their song Silent Lucidity. Beautiful song. The most beautiful metal ballad ever written. Period.
Awesome
Awesome Video!
Here Without You by 3 Doors Down! 😎🔥🤘🎸
You have to listen to "It's Not My Time" by them and I think you'll find the video pretty cool.
It would be interesting if you did a reaction to Recreating Eden- "Veins" if you want to hear one of the best male vocalist out there. Super underground band.
It's Not My Time by 3 Doors Down! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Awesome band, started getting huse till one of the guitar players started getting in trouble with the law time and time again which seemed to start a downward spiral. Love their music.
Speaking of Superman -- please check out "Superman" by REM (2011 Remaster).
Check out "Loser" by them 👍
Can't wait to you react to twilight zone by golden earring
Okay, so first she says she knows absolutely nothing about 3 Doors down and then later she says that they were popular in the early 2000's and she knows a couple of their songs. I don't get it.
She knew they existed but didn't know any of their music. It was worded initially with a dash of confusing overstatement, but that is all she meant
Great band. More from that era that I like, Silverchair, Seven Mary Three, Creed…not a bad time for rock.
Great song 🔥😁
Very creepy video 😂
THE TEA PARTY - The Ocean At The End (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Maybe not technically "grunge", but about as close as you can get. Particularly if you pay attention to the bass.
3 Doors Down is great but NOT Grunge.. They are from Kiln, Mississippi.💜
Escatawpa Mississippi
The late 90s called kryptonite is playing loose your mind
Only two things can kill Superman.
Kryptonite and James Gunn.
Check out their song Loser
More Alternative Rock
Blink 182 but old songs please
Green day
Sum 41
Grunge gave birth to alternative but punk is sloppy this is well put together
How about some Bowie. Would love to hear your opinion. Any Bowie is fantastic. Fan of his for over 50 years.❤❤
I hear ZERO grunge in 3 Doors Down. And this song has a slight punk feel, but definitely not indicative of their sound. They have 2 huge ballads...
"Here Without You"
"Landing in London" (Do the version with Bob Seger)
AHYEON, RORA and RAMI are my favorite BABYMONSTER members
No way u never heard this
Love the song, hate the video
That's plain old Rock music.
for some reason im thinking of biden 🤣
I wish there was another video besides this one. It sucks so bad.
I like 4 doors down better
They have a couple really well known radio songs like this one that are actually better than this one.
The best one is Duck and Run...the other is Loser
the video would help if you had actually watched it. dim bulbs
great song with that pounding drum beat..but terrible video
Such a distracting video. Radio hooked me to this group.
Hate the video.
