JP astonishes us with his deep and complex genius. 'It took me 30 years to figure this out. If you have a goal and a path from a clinical perspective, you aim towards something valuable, and you feel good as you get close to the goal. To have a high goal. As you move to the goal you have to get better at things to pursue a goal, from clinical data; you confront the thing you are avoiding, then break it into pieces that you can take on one at a time, something new is information and developing a skill, and there is biological basis for programming new genes, and build new structures like muscles, there is a lot of potential in your genetic code.... [So it took JP 30 years to figure out that if you set a goal and a vision and you try new things you will learn new things? Holy crap. I figured that out in 10 minutes.]

What a joy to listen to a great mind at work with such clarity... perceptive, truthful, and brave. The difficulty with so much thinking today is that it is shallow and based on prejudice and social pressure without recourse to history, facts and science. We need left and right and a constant dialogue between the two to support a society which is both functional and caring. More power to your elbow Mr Peterson!

I’m very confused as to why anyone would attack or dislike Jordan Peterson. He is very rational, informative, and respectful when discussing topics. How are people getting offended over him discussing scientific facts between men and women.... We ARE different and there’s nothing wrong with that. Admitting we are different doesn’t mean one sex is better or more superior than the other. We each bring unique assets to the table which is WHY it’s good that we’re different...

Oh disagreeable people are more likely to go to jail? No shit. Please read his magnum opus Maps of Meaning. Its the most pretentious thing ive ever read. It works better as a satire than an actual book on...idk what hes going for this book tbh. But please, you be the judge and site any pages where he actually says something of substance. If you dont want to read than look at the diagrams in the book. Theyre hilariously nonsensical. Charlatans like him prey on the weak, thats why his audience has such a type.

Social media is so fast with news stories that I’ll hear the same opinions on that story multiple times a day from different groups of people. Then I go home and my family is talking about it. Same with TikTok trends, it feels like I’m living in a simulation repeating itself. I can predict what someone will say because I’ve already heard it multiple times.

The Rhonda Patrick and Chris Kresser podcasts have some neat nutrition stuff. Personal favorites are Stamets/McKenna/hamilton from vice, Duncan Trussel (always lotsa fun random stoner trivia that prompts further more specific reading) and Randall Carlson (right or wrong he's really fun to listen to). I don't really go for the political ones but the Weinstein bros have some interesting stuff. Sam Harris and Dan Carlin podcasts also sent me on days and weeks of new neat shit to learn about. i was raised in a middle class family and never had any REAL struggles so to speak, but i've had chronic depression and anxiety my entire life and no drive or dreams. after i started following this man, i started making my bed in the mornings, started working out after almost 10 years of inactivity and my doctor telling me im in risk of heart diseases and need to change (currently only 29!). after less than a month i had more muscle built up, was feeling less depressed AND had the self confidence to instantly throw in an icebreaker in a conversation with a girl who, now 1 week later, seems to be the one, even though i dont believe in destiny or "soul mates"
listen to what this man has to say, and not what others say about him.. use what you can and consider what parts of it can fit into your life. develop a thirst for knowledge, but also understanding. small things, negative and positive alike, build up over time. face your fears head on, and be your best self TO yourself and the people around you.
i doubt he will personally read this, but i thank him for the motivational support he has given me - a stranger on the other side of the planet, and thanking Joe for helping to spread the awareness of him.

In this interview, he got out of the way, asked the right questions at the right time and we all benefitted. If you can do better congratulations. You must really think a lot of yourself. And thanks for calling me a dummy. But hey, I'd be out of my depth interviewing Peterson. You hit the nail on the head. Congrats again! @@TrippinWithTodd Well you can always tell somebody's intelligent when they jump straight to the ad hominem attacks lol. Then again when someone's disputing a personal opinion or even the factual relevance of anyones intelligence, be it their own or somebody else's. I suppose there aren't many ways of them proving this, beyond visual examples they could perhaps post links to. So in short and without the ability to articulate it themselves, their response is basically saying that "they" disagree with you lol. As you stated though Rogan isn't an idiot, he also isn't anywhere near the "intellectual" Jordan Peterson is. At the same time JP is a Dr. in philosophy, whereas Joe Rogan is rather just an average guy. Who is well versed and exposed to a vast field of experiences, an the individual's he has the opportunity to interview. As an "interviewer," an mediator. It isn't that he's necessarily anything special, he does ask some good questions and add to the conversion. An does so better then allot people can or would. At the same time there are opportunities where he COULD ask much better questions, but doesn't typically press his guests to make them uncomfortable. Which is likely the reason so many different people are willing to go on his show. However he's a good listener and a patient guy, who's long form style of interviews allows his guests to really expand on what they are saying. Which in todays world and media is a unique thing, that even other people who TRY an duplicate. Aren't capable of doing in an entertaining way, if they can even keep a guest on for that long. An in that sense he DOES stand out, an hold his weight as a "good interviewer."
You can definitely see and hear the difference between guests he has on, when he has comedians or mma fighters on. Where he carries an even conversion with them just shooting the shit, verse when he has on guests like Jordan Peterson, Brett Weinstein, Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins. Where he pulls back from interrupting, to let them speak a little more because of their intellectual integrity. None the less, Rogan definitely adds his opinion and views of his own. An is quite level headed on a majority of subjects, although overall probably more Liberal leaning in his views. He doesn't get too political, nor does he attempt "debate" his guests. But rather brings them on to let THEM speak, an asks some questions that he or other people are curious to know. For example when I myself watch Rogan interviews, I do so to hear what specific guests have to say and not necessarily what Joe has to say. An although he still mediates the conversation well, I've got to say I liked the "old" Joe Rogan more. When he was "more conspiracy based," an I don't mean with any of the alien or ufo and "Bigfoot" crap. But with government conspiracy and secret societies etc, which he does still occasionally touch on lightly. Duncan Trussel will go there a little bit, but Joe kind of steers away from it. An Eddie Bravo really just makes a joke of it all, an is way to obsessed with the "flat earth" bs. The Alex Jones interviews are pretty good for that matter, even though he's a nutcase lol. An even then Joe will cut him off at curtain points and seems to have grown away from these subjects, either because of sponsorships and monetization or for "other reasons."
I don't think Joe can even handle having Eddie on too often anymore lol. There are allot of guests that Joe COULD have on, an COULD ask some very crazy stuff but he holds allot of responsibility. One thing I really like about Jordan Peterson is that he always seems like he's still trying to work everything out and learn more, and he's not afraid to admit when he might be wrong. It's like we're watching him go through this journey of trying to understand the world, and he's telling us what he's figured out, and what it's like to be on such a journey, and the lessons he's learned from others--both friend and foe--that he's encountered along the way.

Anyone that does not experience life as normal as does Mr. Peterson.. is sadly really missing out on life.. sadly so far the sadly incorrect brainwashed "belief" is that you only have one life, one chance to live it, one choice, one this one that is so disabled and may be so dissappointed as the end of life gets closer and closer.. instead of enjoying the fact that THIS LIFE was everything that you could possibly wonder about and enjoy . Hope you learn that. .before it is too late. Deadly circumstance and illness rarely give warning or choice... so live this minute and every minute like it is your last.. The wonder of it all ...to me is so exciting I hate sleep.. but is super important for good health. No choice there...
