I got hacked 2years ago and steam weren’t helpful and I cudnt really afford to lose that much…they sold 300 items for under £1 then bought some £0.03 items with it taking all my balance :( still haven’t got over it 😠 x love ur vids keep going aussi x

Exact same thing happened to me this week. Hacker broke in and sold all of my Paris capsules and cheap skins and stole 100$. Even bought the exact same item that the hacker here bought.

that community market scam happened to me too like 3 years ago i lost 100 broken fang cases and bouth 3 cent dota2 item still angry about it. When i try to sell things valve always send confirmations to me it seems scammers have free pass.
I assume that if you want to turn off the family mod on Steam, you have to enter its opt-in code or password again, right? (from a hacker's point of view)

so what did the scammers want? how was the steam wallet transferred to them? and how would they be able to sell items without mobile confirmation
i got family mode and i lost 3 steam accounts, didnt click on any links or download anything i got thousands in my main steam account. Somehow the hackers had access to my email and my browser passwords sent codes to my emails and deleted them before i even knew what was up. Though my main steam account was protected by steam guard but family didnt protect me but it did protect me when somehow i had a similar experience to you but i had family view so all they did was change my name as they couldn't even see my games

The ROI for the Killowatt cases are HOGWASH. I've spent like at least $700 on those cases alone and only pulled an inheritance ( which got scammed from me) and a black lotus.

As far as I know its not possible to cash that money out so how did they get it?
They had an account put up an over priced item on the steam market for roughly 1k, and bought it using his balance effectively transferring the money to their wallet
My whole inventory was taken (411 items 4.5k value).. they trade offered from their account and accepted on mine. No steam guard or anything was touched Or notified.. ofc steam won't help

Why does Steam not force you to authorize purchases out of the authenticator when using your wallet. Everything else, locked up tight.
I complained about EXACTLY this and steam support just avoided the question.

Don't sell your hard drive, genius. That's the main part that you remove from your build, replace it with a new one if you're selling a used PC, they are not expensive and the buyer will appreciate it (unless they're trying to rob you lmao)

Everyone beware of a fake ESL stream of the Chengdu tournament that's at the top of youtube search results! just today i got phished like an absolute moron and lost my mobile authenticator but luckily the scammer was so incompetent that they didn't manage to do anything before i reset everything and logged them out.
