You have to wonder though if education would help a person like him? You learn in kindergarten right from wrong. In fact you should know right from wrong before kindergarten. This man has something seriously wrong going on in his brain. He doesn't understand basic accountability. I don't know of any education would change that. He's probably completely cuckoo for Cocoa puffs.

I don't hold it against someone for being inarticulate, but being that flagrant a liar makes him like so many who are currently imprisoned, i.e., it's always someone else's fault, they wrote it down wrong, etc. Until they make huge changes, life's going to continue to be hard.

The defendant speech was unintelligible for the most part. He mumbles and breaks after 3 or 4 what I'm assuming were words. His lying was obvious. Like mortalclown said he blamed everyone else for his own choices. Blaming the person typing up that report for what he said was the cherry on top of his lies. He appeared shocked that he was going to prison after choking his victim. She choked herself. Is that the story you're going to stick with you, lying pos. He's a real piece of work.

Sounds like what you’re alluding to is socioeconomic status and that’s not our concern here. The fact that someone was choked against their will is a crime, a cousin of near death.
You are blaming the victim for receiving that treatment and that’s shortsighted on your part.

The defense attorney did the defendant no favors to allow him to attempt a narrative. The defendant thinks he is so special that a woman though a "bidness deal/plan" was more personal. Am not even to the 4 minute mark of this video. I don't know which is worse in this failing attempt of discourse. From Judge Stephanie's quires, neither can she. How can a strangulation be a mistake? DUH. Oh he needs a break for his kids, and for what was taken away from him. Hmmm. he denies being on probation for assault with body injury, and again for possession of drugs. He still claims he never touched this woman, she choked herself, and the PSI is wrong-he didn't say that. Oh it was parole not probation for driving whilst license suspended...got to keep that correct-parole. The lady typing the PSI was typing too fast and didn't understand what he was saying. 6 years in prison. At least that.

Weird title to this video. Judge Boyd never "makes a fool" of anybody, least of all those that come before her. She treats everyone with respect and deals them the justice that they deserve, while attempting to help them sort out their lives as best she can, by offering, or providing, access to services that can aid them. She is a fantastic judge and belittles nobody. There's nothing that can be done for this guy but to incarcerate him for a long time.
Why did the defendant's attorney not mention that his client was a graduate, cum laude, of Trump University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Speaking?
The defendant performs a masterclass in delivering incoherent gibberish in response to straightforward simple questions, a total inability to complete or come close to constructing even one meaningful sentence or cogent thought, and exclaims instant denial of what is being presented to him as a verifiable fact. Donald Jessica Trump would be proud of this particular alumnus.
I did learn from this and other similar videos that if you are ever appearing in court as a defendant then you should do absolutely everything you can to raise the money to hire your own defence lawyer... the court appointed one will, in all probability, be that incompetent and ineffective that you couldn't possibly imagine how on earth they passed any qualifying examinations.
