Just buying it now. This song, like their whole catalog , is epic in sound and nature. Like you said with the drums, there is a feeling of intense restraint with the guitar riffs, even slowing down almost imperceptibly towards the end of a riff. Really beautiful.
After hearing "The Light at the End of the World" I bought "The Dreadful Hours" unheard and was very pleased. Ive bought the last 3 and they are definitely my favorite band.
My favourite band
I like this very much. Imagining I'm going home after work on my bike (that's about 18 km), in the countryside, no lanterns or other light nearby. And then this music on my ears. That's pure magic. I have it with Draconian, and I sure as hell will have it with these guys. Been to two concerts where they were the support-act. This music you must feel for sure. 🍻

Still one of my favourite doom metal bands but I have to say Draconian is my number 1. Hedgy, you need to check out Lord of Shadows, a project released last year. Aaron is on most songs using a lot of his harsh vocals. It's very good, top notch doom metal.
Heike from (ex-Draconian) is there too. Their voices go so well together; such beautiful work they've done.

Love doom metal: deth-doom, gothic-doom, etc
Pretty much what I expected from them, top notch doom. Not a band I normally listen to, but if i ever get the chance to see live I'm jumping on it because this sort of stuff live is just beautiful. Similar story with Paradise Lost for me
The worlds greatest band
Been listening to MDB for decades now, and they're a very firm favourite - though, boy, did I dislike the first CD I bought... I hated it with a passion for at least three or four hours, then suddenly it clicked with me, and I haven't looked back, lol...
Pre-ordered, of course... ;)

Seen the name My Dying Bride and heard a song or two. Doom's isn't really for me, though. There's other music I can loose myself in but not this. But - well produced and performed and for sure a name we'll continue to see around!
The perfect band would bea mix between My Dying Bride,Draconian and Cradle of Filth
