Who has ever seen a forward with possession at the blue line at the right side of the ice move diagonally to the left wing boards at the red line? I don't think I have ever seen anyone do that before or since, but for Gretzky it worked perfectly.
Not sure if u noticed but the play between Jagr and Lemieux starting at 7:22 is almost identical. Jagr draws four Sabres over by skating across the ice from the right wing to the left leaving Lemieux open.

Trying to put my bias aside as a Bolts fan, I think Lacavalier's assist to Fedotenko is the greatest when you combine the difficulty of the assist as well as the importance of the goal (GWG of the 2004 Stanley Cup).
