@james bond I work as a cyber security analyst. It's a good job that starts out at about 75k and I've been upgraded to incident and intrusion and I am making roughly 115k. A lot of these tech jobs will relocate you overseas mainly Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand. It depends on the job. If you're interested ask your employer if they have programs to relocate overseas. Sometimes they'll even pay you more because english speaking employees are very in demand especially in South East Asian countries. No many are willing to leave to a foreign country but its not that bad.

I know a successful brother that has a wife and kids in Bangkok. His business is in US, so he visits 3 times a yr and the family visits the US during the summer but don't live here. He has homes in both places. Like that setup!
Part of my career is academics which has been online for 25 years or so, and I am Doctor in MH and my services are fully online, long before the pandemic. Since about 2001 I would be in Asia 3 times per year the entire summers, Winter and Spring Breaks. Since 2016, I increased my time here to 3 to 9 months per year, Additionally I posted earlier I started traveling overseas at the age of 10 years old (which I knocked the haters out because what do you call a 10 year old who is been traveling overseas with their parents yearly) The haters assume too much and think they know everything and never been anywhere but in front of the TV or at the hole in the wall club or already hit their Wall.

If you're planning to get into IT, be sure to talk with those doing IT jobs. The work is very demanding and requires lots of continuous learning to stay in it. You can't be lazy or undisciplined.

The demand comes from the Global corporations that require IT experts for a 24/7 market.
Land the role in the US. You won't be able to get a job in another country without USA company sponsorship. Unless you relocate permanently and get work approval as a resident. But yhen, you won't get the higher salary paid to US based citizens.
I am paid from the USA but reside out of country for enough days to not be counted as a worker where I stay.
But, you CAN travel to many countries for vacation and still work there. They are laxed on the laws in places because they want the money from tourist. But there is now a huge movement in countered to accommodate Remote and Digital Nomads.
