After 40 some years on dirtbikes, I hung it up. Got an ADV bike, ride bicycles a lot, just not dirtbiking. Man I look back on the crowds I rode with, the local club..................not just dumb as rocks, but destructive uncaring know nothing who dont want to know anything. Yokels. Not all of em but the vast majority, never learned how to ride in 20 some years, tearing the hell out of trails, wrecking their bikes, never learn a thing. Motorcycles do attract a certain % of total yahoos, no doubt.
Great vid, thanks for making it. One question though.... How does one "Mark turns"? I've never come across this term before. In our group we have a practice of each guy waits for the next guy (only) at any major turn, maybe because we enjoy staying in a tighter group.....
Was loading up at a spot today at 5 o’clock just as a group of ATVs and a SXS where heading into the trails with no helmets on and the dude driving the SXS literally had a twisted tea in his, while he was driving.
Next do tards on Harleys with extra loud pipes. Because everyone loves the sound of someone revving their engine at lights, on main street, in the parking lot, scenic parks, and anywhere else that was just too quiet and in need of some Harley thunder.
@@jedski0717 You're dreaming. Non riders largely hate the sound of noisy bikes. People that don't ride noisy bikes cringe when you guys sit at traffic lights revving your engines for no reason (even if it's a Harley it probably won't stall), or blasting down a road in a rural area where everyone within a mile has to listen to it. It's obnoxious, and it costs the riding community access and reputation. There are far too many places that we've been that have banned motorcycles due to the disturbance your segment causes - parks, campgrounds, and even the historic district in Quebec City. Dont listen to this guy, just ride for glory and have fun. F to all the establishment and ask for no permission, ride no matter what , where ever you want. Dirt was here before you and will be here after you!
I honestly love the content you guys produce and with all due respect this video is one of the most stupidly "first world" pieces of content I've seen lately. If you want to do wheelies or drifts in the parking lot go for it, as long as you aren't putting anyone or their bike in danger enjoy yourself and don't let the old farts put you down, marking corners??? none of our group have ever done this and when we do rarely lose one another it takes very little time to regroup, in a country where riding is supported I can totally respect signage as to where you should ride however a lot of us don't have that luxury and the entirety of our rides are on land we shouldn't really be on, so respecting hills etc is out other than totally destroying the place😉the only disrespectful aspect of this video for me was the guy throwing his Beta to the ground while having a little tantrum over not being able to keep up with his buddy😅 different strokes for different folks I guess🤷🏼♂️
It called respect for other rider's in your group, not all rider's ride the same way, you come to a split we will wait for the group to catch up, again it's called respect, if Trail is closed we don't ride it etc... but no matter where you go there's always I mean always one of those types of people
@@perrygibbons1816 none of that has any relevance to what I've said, I've got no trouble hanging up for a few seconds for folks to catch up, we usually have a well planned ride anyway, there are no legit trails near to us so we have to ride what we can, no trails are closed because none are officially open 😅
I kind of agree but also I have a problem with the concept of the use of the expression; '1st world problems' . Marking corners just means waiting for the person behind you and when they see you then you go and they wait for the rider behind them. Everyone calls this concept something different but if someone doesn't do it, man oh man, things go off the rails.
@@perrygibbons1816 Yep, that's what we call marking corners in these here parts. I've heard it called "bump and run", "Michigan trail system", all kinds of names.
Man. Everyday is getting harder to find riding areas. The hillclimb bit was spot on
Yet you will still see fresh tracks up every blocked off/signed area.

Same thing 👍 Must be a regional term 🏍️🌎
How do you "mark your turns" ? Serious question.
I'm curious too. If for some reason I'm actually faster, I'll just slow down and wait at the turn offs.
That's it! Another name for the same thing. 👍
Sometimes you can draw a dotted line on the dirt by slipping the tire a few times just after the turn.
Another good method 👍 , so long as the other direction isn't scuffed up with fresh tracks.
I was wondering the same thing 🤷♂️

Riding alone is fun. If you want to fuq everything up get a quad or a side by side. Thanks for the vid, great job.

Had to LoL at this one ! Hi Ken and Dennis!
It's an extremely accurate video, even down to the fact he was a Yamaha rider.
