Just curious, what is a "low alt qualified" fighter pilot? Does it mean you simply are trained to fly closer to terrain (lower altitude) than just any fighter pilot?
Yes, we receiver qualification training below 500 ft, down to 100. It takes a different scan, but any fighter pilot can be trained for it. things happen exponentially faster down there, and these guys are doing 50 ft routinely.. I am very impressed with their skills
+Goose F16 very cool, the fastest thing I've flown is a Cessna 182. I would agree, it is very impressive. Depending on the speed, however, 50 to 100 ft. might end up being just as challenging. E.g. going +500 kt. at 100 ft. might be like 50 ft. at 270 kt. (just a random guess) in terms of how challenging they are. I very rarely fly close to terrain, the one time I did was when I got some aerobatic training. It was exciting to say the least. There is something about hugging the terrain that just feels fun.
Great job...this did it for me I bought a Rocket and moving from biplane to sport ....see ya in 2016
Nice! Got any videos of it from this year?

all I can say is Wow.. awesome!!.. and that comes from a 25 year low alt qualified fighter pilot..
