Biggest issue with this scene is that the TNG people saying the local law has no authority over them when at Star Fleet Academy they are taught to respect local laws
and at this point, Brent Spiner who played Bob Wheeler, was Data on Star Trek TNG, and because of that they had to scrap their season 4 plans of having the Wheelers become full time cast members as the new owners of the newsstand.
@@geraldduncan5646 Just imagine they was actually funnier than any show to this very day!!! Long live Judge Harry T Stone!!! With Judges like him we might actually have criminal justice again instead of money scams..
Picard allowed it because the space alien the traveler told him Wesley was a very gifted individual, and then he needed some guidance towards achieving his abilities

Yup, he played the sole remaining Klingon that was aboard the Bird Of Prey that Kirk and company commandeered to escape the Genesis Planet before it exploded
I think it’s hilarious that Spiner turned down a full time role on this show so he could do Star Trek. The actress who played his wife thought he was making a huge mistake.
That is some kind of next level irony that the very first video that I found about Night Court tv show Mr. Plinkett always talks about is about Star Trek.
This weekend is Fargo true crime expo at Ramada inn and I'm going to church event at our church this morning I pour a cup of coffee before I watch Futurama and Billy West he is awesome and amazing and funny ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Of all the shows to reboot, this one would’ve been perfect. Sadly, Harry passed away. I could see Reinhold taking over for Harry Anderson. Older and Wiser.
Ok apparently the creators or screenwriters of this episode didn't do their research, because the Vulcan Death Grip, while it is a real thing, didn't actually kill, it only simulates death

and at this point, Brent Spiner who played Bob Wheeler, was Data on Star Trek TNG, and because of that they had to scrap their season 4 plans of having the Wheelers become full time cast members as the new owners of the newsstand.
Is that Kinkade from Elm Street 3???!!!
Hell yea!!
Noticed when they got BEAMED UP, everyone in the Gallery just Froze???LOL
Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
That scene killed me.

I love how Trek has always being like this and still is to this day.
Thanks, in this chapter Star Trek is REAL

I had a bigger problem with a 14 year old being on the bridge and working the helm. Something Captain Kirk NEVER would have allowed. 😡
Dammit wesley !!
Actually Wesley was about 17
Kirk: "Scotty, get that kid off my bridge."
Picard: "Wesley Crusher to the bridge to save the universe!"
He was 15 so you're pretty damn close
Picard allowed it because the space alien the traveler told him Wesley was a very gifted individual, and then he needed some guidance towards achieving his abilities
This feels like a wasted opportunity not to have Brent Spiner back, who was so great in his bits on this show.
TNG is WHY he wasn't on this show
I bet he got paid more
@@microbusss he probably did, as Season 4 as supposed to have the Wheelers join the cast full time. his TNG casting is why it was scrapped.
Good news, Brent Spiner will be returning to the reboot and will be Bob Wheeler once again
The guy calls himself a Trekkie but doesn’t even know how to do the Vulcan salute properly.
Thanks for these clips
Love the Day In the Life episodes. This one was really good.
Damn..him, Art Bell and R. Lee Ermey. RIP all.
And Markie Post
One of the best scenes ever...they left the Vulcan, though.
The Bailiff-Bull Grip!
Once upon a time there were Trekkies, they gathered in their multitudes at Star Trek conventions. Then came the dark times when Kurtzman, Bad Robot, and Secret Hideout attacked setting it all to ruin.
Looks like the NG Trekkies win that round. 😂

Did you guy's know that dan was in star trek in search for spock he played a klingon
Learn something new everyday
Yup, he played the sole remaining Klingon that was aboard the Bird Of Prey that Kirk and company commandeered to escape the Genesis Planet before it exploded
Yes, a klingon prosecutor!
Even better, John Larroquette was the opening narrator for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He wasn't creditted but you can tell it is him.
Mahtz! Choyeee chu!
It would have been epically ironic if Brent Spiner made an appearance as his character on night court doing captain picard.
I think it’s hilarious that Spiner turned down a full time role on this show so he could do Star Trek. The actress who played his wife thought he was making a huge mistake.
"Don't you guys just ever get loaded and hire a stripper?"
Christine suddenly disappears when those TNG guys beam up.
Huh…
As a Trekkie I say. Live long and prosper. 😀
Best show ever!
Lil' Dee me 2 personally. As an autistic kid back in NYC on Ch. 4 WNBC.
Yes.
Goddammit. RIP Harry Anderson.
Agreed, he was great as judge Harry Stone
And Christine and Mac :'(
This Episode was a two day shoot , I (Timothy Roy) was in the Jury Booth in Jail set you can see me in the full Episode .
Too bad Brent Spiner didn't show up in a cameo as Bob Wheeler. And if it was a 2 day shoot that meant they didn't shoot in front of a live audience.
R.I.P. Richard Moll
Kincade From "Elm Street 3"
What's interesting is that Brent Spiner, who played Bob Wheeler, was of course in 'ST:TNG'.
What ya wouldn't give to see Bob Wheeler come up and ask "What in TARNATION's goin on here?"
These are the worst Trekkies ever! They can't even recognize Klingon Officer Maltz standing right next to them! 😆
Isn’t the black guy with the green top ,Kincaid from Nightmare on Elm Street parts three and four ” The Dream Warriors “ and “The Dream Master”.
I'm guessing that, during the 100-year gap between TOS and TNG, the rule against androids on the bridge was repealed.
To my knowledge, Kirk has never broken the Prime Directive.
yes he did
He's broken The Prime Directive numerous times
Kirk did make First Contact more than any other Starfleet officer... well, up until Commander Riker showed up.

Lectures about breaking the Prime Directive and then beams out in front of a non-warp capable species.
So where did they go? Those guys that got "beamed up"?
backstage, after some sugar got spun around in a glass of water and a quick camera cut. ;)

Was this episode aired specifically before or after TNG's The Drumhead? Because this exact argument is presented in this show lol

He played Bob Wheeler several times.
Nana Visitor (Major Kira) was in another episode.
He was almost a permanent cast member, but he got TNG instead. You can find a video from a convention where he talks about it.
