These guys are putting out some cutting edge material. Really impressed with how they have come up with such a dark, intense, and energizing record. Just when you think you've already heard the most intense metal music artists have to offer, groups like Code Orange come along and break the mold.
unless of course your familiar with bands like fear factory, cannibal corpse, pro-pain, chimaera just to name a few of the many bands from the 90s and early 2000s that have already played this sound and no code orange is not breaking any molds here they sound cool but really lets be real here they aren't anything new hate me if you want but with 10 minutes of research you'll know I am right
@@pukeclaw1147 Yeah but all the bands you named play a different metal Subgenre, you are listening to Something that could resemble as MetalStep or Cyber Metal perhaps... While the bands you mentioned belong actually to death, metalcore, hardcore, and so on... If you gonna play it that way you are not even close to the most destructive intense metal lyrics and sound.... Lets try those Porncore or Goregrind.... Posthumous Regurgitation
This is just amazing. I became a fan a week ago. I already picked up their new album. They just sound so different from anything being done right now. Their versatility is astonishing.
The deeper meaning of the song and video I find fascinating. A horrendous state of mind. Even hearing what sounds like command hallucinations through a radio or static at that one part is a deep touch to a mind plagued with psychosis
I know that you don't wanna lie It's just the demon in your mind It's just the liar in your smile It's just the pressure all the time It's just so hard to fucking fight When all you feel is pain inside It's just so hard to fucking live When all you wanna do is die Lying in the mud Dying in the mud The chain never breaks A servant to your broken brain The cycle never gives in The devil holds your head a slave You're stuck Living in the mud Dying in the mud You've lost the only things you love Living dying in the mud
Looking at the comments from 3 years ago. I crawled out from under a rock a year ago and "discovered" Code Orange. Now my friends and neighbors listen to them too.
Never heard of this band, only until... somebody mentioned them, and I like the prog/avant-garde style of some of this. Was looking for "metallic hardcore" (not metalcore, specifically, but looking more at Hatebreed and such) and turns out this band is pretty damn dope.
Sincerely Hated dude English isn't even my first language and I'm able to type it to some accuracy , How many languages do u know ? And we don't have D Trump as our president.
Adarsh Ratnakaran you don't have trump as your president and yet your country is still infinitely shittier than ours. Why don't you do something productive for your country before criticizing other people's countries.
I hear the rust belt coming back with an angry vengeance. I hear the same things that influenced my musician friends back in Pennsylvania in this band's arrangements.
Tool is one of my favorite bands and can see why someone would say a song sounds like tool, but really tools sound is not that hard to recreate/make they kinda were just the first to make that kind of music, jazzy, worldy, heavy beats, lead bass with Lots of pedals, heavy drop d guitar, lots of pedals, lots of triplets. What really makes tools sound is their songwriting, song flow and having that amazing lyricists and singer. I hate it when people say stuff sounds like tool I just think its not fair. Like everyone is saying king gizzard sounds like tool and im just like wtf, no it doesn't. And tbh this sounds more like sepultura or meshugguh than tool to me
Came here to see how the official video handled the cool part in the middle, but what I found out was my computer's speakers suck compared to my car. Amazing song. Thanks, Code Orange.
Few years back this played on adult swim and I started tripping out and had so much anxiety for some reason (I swore it went on for hours but 🍃 does that to you) I stopped smoking after that night and haven’t smoked since. Great song but do not recommend listening to it high.😂
This apparently debuted on adult swim, to the kids who were half asleep watching this confused at what the fuck is going on, you just witnessed great musicianship
28 seconds into the video and I'm terrified.... I dont know why this popped up into the recommended, I've only been listening to aussie hip hop over the past few months...
have you heard the song that goes: "burning under the sun, ballin like we do I jump in and out yo girls ass like a kangaroo i'll give you a heads up when you find out she's late that's when you know, ya boy lil aussies been in it mate."
Reminds me of when hardcore metal wad diverse. Everyone came up in the hardcore scene. From Parkway drive too BTBAM played HC shows before they got a good following. There was so many styles bands from punk, metal death hip hop all music backgrounds, Even Jazz.
Metal Massacre Reminds me of all the metalcore shows I went to 04’-06’ at The Pound in San Francisco. All the good tours came through. And Converge with BTBAM and Cave-In was epic.
Props to the guy who acknowledged GODFLESH!! If u listen u can hear some post Corrosion in here as well. Grunge was never this heavy ( leaver AIC, Tad and the rest out of this please).
Brilliant music.. Fantastic video.. but somewhere deep down I feel Code Orange is not my cup of tea.. I wish them great success (but I might not follow them)
Jesus the bass in this is relentless
I can only imagine how much of a pain it must have been to record the bass. How do you record loose barbwire? 🤔
Anyone else getting Code Orange vibes from this?
RodZ_ Zoron i appreciate the fuck out of you for this.
No
I'm picking up a little
i think you may be on to something!
Woah me too

@@pukeclaw1147 let's just enjoy the music, man.
@@pukeclaw1147 this is better than all those but fear factory, they're the only ones that do it better

Something about the noise at 2:01 leading up into that "SUICIDE" noise loop directly after it is just so damn unsettling (in a good way of course)
The new Pixar movie looks wild
This is just amazing. I became a fan a week ago. I already picked up their new album. They just sound so different from anything being done right now. Their versatility is astonishing.
did I... just join a cult?
with some fucking excellent bass?
2:02 that cut off gets me every time
Cannot express how much I love this band
I've been waiting for this to go up since I saw it on Toonami last Saturtday!
i remember i heard this song for the first time years back on adult swim been listening to them ever since
The deeper meaning of the song and video I find fascinating. A horrendous state of mind. Even hearing what sounds like command hallucinations through a radio or static at that one part is a deep touch to a mind plagued with psychosis
The intro gets me so hyped
Putting this on AS was some noble shit, finally y’all getting the attention you deserve in the metalcore scene 👏
Superior Beast I saw it watching naruto
Dark Scream good episode too
This is the most refreshing, best sounding band I've seen in a long time, Totally nuts and perfect sound
the outro to this song is insane
I know that you don't wanna lie
It's just the demon in your mind
It's just the liar in your smile
It's just the pressure all the time
It's just so hard to fucking fight
When all you feel is pain inside
It's just so hard to fucking live
When all you wanna do is die
Lying in the mud
Dying in the mud
The chain never breaks
A servant to your broken brain
The cycle never gives in
The devil holds your head a slave
You're stuck
Living in the mud
Dying in the mud
You've lost the only things you love
Living dying in the mud
Looks like Code Orange's been watching some Tool videos
@betty-697 okay it was just a goofy comment tho
you dont even need to smoke anything its already good
But it doesn't hurt ;)
fucking junkies
Nah mate bun up the z00t
Looking at the comments from 3 years ago. I crawled out from under a rock a year ago and "discovered" Code Orange. Now my friends and neighbors listen to them too.
i feel like they have control over my mind now
You must be weak minded
I love this band
Loving the industrial elements in this album
This has such tool and meshuggah vibes
Awesome MVS meshuggah are gods among us
Reminds me more of Gojira tbh, but good shit anyways.
At little avant-garde. Pretty cool concept.
The vide definitely has a Alex Grey anatomical artsy feel to it.
Awesome MVS I heard Nine Inch Nails
Anyone else getting Selena Gomez vibes from this? Sick!!!
😂
I fucking laughed out loud holy fuck
Who?
Enrique Pastor ffs 😂😂😂
Anyone else getting The Beach Boys vibes from this?
Nah, beach boys are more brutal
Hell yeah dude; aren't they just using old unused Pet Sounds demos?
I fucking love this fucking group!!!
hell yeah!!!!!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼❤️❤️❤️
Spooky Queen10 :v
Seeing them today with Gojira ☠️
Ian Kendall Ayyy didn't expect to see you here😂

That's literally the best combo omfg!! And if varials too omfg!!
Go ahead and rub it in..... bragger!!!
FUCKING NICE
Katocat NOICE*
Love this one so good . The video goes well with the music as well
All the metalheads at the hatebreed tour are in for a surprise.
DanyeB5 hatebreed is a hardcore band.
Dalton Sullivan yes but when's the last time you went to a hatebreed show? At least for me it's been drunk sweaty metalheads in the pit all night.
Yep, it's pretty much a heavy metal band now, as far as the fanbase is concerned...
Davi Pinho yeah you're right! They mainly only play big metal festivals now very rare to seen them on any hardcore shows
Somethin's fucky!
Seen em last night in Cleveland ohio... fkn killer!!!! they opened for Torche.. and Gojira!!!!.. all 3 were Epic!!!
boheefuseverett lol...yeah.... it was amazing!

Guy tries to express his enjoyment of a band by commenting HYPE on their vid, gets bombed, classic internet...
I have no idea what's going on in this song or in this video but I dig both. For realz.
Favorite song on the album.
So good so heavy
It's like Front Line Assembly went more hardcore. Love it!
Loving the Godflesh and Swans vibe this is giving me. Reminds me when Napalm Death would do an industrial song.
Code Orange riffs are the sickest!
Watches Westworld once
i dont understand how i am just now hearing of these guys but this band is awsome
2:01 catches me off guard every time
I hear the rust belt coming back with an angry vengeance. I hear the same things that influenced my musician friends back in Pennsylvania in this band's arrangements.
An evolution of grunge
Tool is one of my favorite bands and can see why someone would say a song sounds like tool, but really tools sound is not that hard to recreate/make they kinda were just the first to make that kind of music, jazzy, worldy, heavy beats, lead bass with Lots of pedals, heavy drop d guitar, lots of pedals, lots of triplets. I feel like these guys and Gojira are the only two bands producing cool non-corny metal videos these days.
This apparently debuted on adult swim, to the kids who were half asleep watching this confused at what the fuck is going on, you just witnessed great musicianship
How it feels to chew 5 gum.
What a fucking BEAST of a record. Code orange forever, forever
Music like this restores my faith in the human evolution
Best song on the album for me
amazing song
Godflesh vibes up in this, fuckin killer
W P I was thinking the same thing!
lots of godflesh vibes coming from this
I was just goin to post them vibes
Good point. I "think" that Helmet could an influence too
Really dig the eerie synths in this.
28 seconds into the video and I'm terrified.... I dont know why this popped up into the recommended, I've only been listening to aussie hip hop over the past few months...
Minks Rule this is my favorite song right now but i would be willing to leave this video behind for now to try out this Aussie hip hop you speak of.
Dalton Sullivan just listen to Greeley, mate, you'll be fine :)
have you heard the song that goes:

Dammnnn norma jean is going so hard.
Love this band!
FUCK I need to learn 3D
Me too
As someone who studies it I can say it is fucking fun as fuck. My first model was a dick.
Dude, you need some help.
When you use only presets on your 3D CGI programs.
Great video for a great music...
Meshuggah Tool vibes! if this album is half as good as the last one, ill love it!
This has just crushed my brain!!!!
I remember seeing this on toonami and thought it was, interesting to say the least. Its a shame this band isnt that popular though
Hello from Belgium i love u🤘🤘🤘🤘🖤🖤

Anxious for them to come back to California.

Video wise, absolutely. Also Meshuggah.
realoatmeal I’ve been sayin g that same thing
the video was meshuggah and tool AF too
this fucking rules
Is that "suicide, suicide, suicide" sample from somewhere?
Probably my brain
I really appreciate how the visual symbolism plays out in the video as a direct representation of the lyrical theme. Very effective.
Never clicked a video so fast
six sense me too bro!
Stop lying kids
My favorite song ❣❣❣ beside spy❣❣and ugly
Sick
Brilliant music.. Fantastic video.. but somewhere deep down I feel Code Orange is not my cup of tea..
I wish them great success (but I might not follow them)
When it gets so fucking silent out of nowhere. then goes fucking shittttttt.
The baby at the end of the video looks like Björk! 👍🎶
I hear about Björk on almost every metal video. Isn't she some Icelandic pop singer?
Tyler O'Toole yes, she also fucking sucks.
Tyler O'Toole Yeah, and she's awesome! ✊🎶
Dalton Sullivan No! 😯 She's extraordinary awesome! ✊🎶
HR Giger just jizzed in his grave
hell yeah
Very interesting song
This is fucking amazing 🔥
