What is paradise? Is it a beautiful landscape? Is it crystal clear blue water? Is it good weather and smooth sailing? We’ve been living and traveling on a sailboat for some time now and I don’t think we’ve ever experienced so much beauty as we have this week. But someday when we look back on this experience, the thing I’ll remember most is getting to share it all with some old friends who have also traveled a long way to be here. So as we stage for what should probably be our final passage to Malta, where we plan to pop out a baby, we decide to take a couple of days to enjoy this Mediterranean Paradise.

Atticus makes Uma look so tiny. It's crazy what less than 5 feet difference in length means in overall volume.

@@goleafsgo8496 Thank you… I called it the long good bye. But I am so grateful it is over and she is out of that state! There was a youtube channel that helped me sooo much with the disease called Dementia Careblazers. I gleaned so much useful information there. You feel like it is never going to end… but it does. Now it is trying not to feel guilty because I am sooo happy and I feel alive again!

I know a while back they shifted from Thursdays to Fridays, but I can't remember if there was a reason for that, maybe a time zone thing, I'm not sure. I hope everything is fine with them. Their videos still seem on point to me.
I was already caught blindsided once this year, when the Wildlings split, it left me wondering should I have seen that coming in their videos in previous weeks. I sure as heck hope nothing is amiss with Dan and Kika.
I watched both channels during the pandemic and a painful divorce while being homeless in Los Angeles. Viewing your sailing experience on my phone, from my old leaky rv, kept my head in place and my smile on. You took me all the way from the artic to Panamá and was always a pleasant scape from my brutal reality at that time. I thank the 4 of you for sharing your lives with me. See you next week...

"Electric" isn't so "eco-friendly" after all. Did you know, to make one car 1100, pound electric car battery it takes the excavation of 500,000 pounds of earth to procure the minerals needed to make the battery?

Paradise is peaceful no worries, no pain, no death, no disease, everything provided for, people in perfect harmony with each other doing different things, no self, people are very humble, Plants and sea and land creatures totally alive and friendly a Lamb sits with a lion a Shark swims with a seal with no harm...
Some say paradise is blue waters, warm kisses of the sun on beaches across the earth.
Some can embrace paradise as a winter's day that goes on for months with snow machines & sledding & gold prospecting when the sun offers its kisses.
The word "paradise" is a word of many levels!.

It's so nice to see you reconnect with Sailing Uma once again. Oso's become a real sea dog in the water and he seems to always be so excited to meet new people and to experience new adventures ashore. Over the past few weeks, I noticed that you guys were tracking darn close to Dan and Kika. Two of my favorite cruising couples hitting the same anchorages, showing very similar scenes in their videos. I remember when you guys met up several years ago too. One thing to be aware of: by using tefgel on those bolts you are electrically isolating the anode from the thing that it is protecting. This might be okay as long as the join surface is nice and clean. Personally I use conductive grease on the join surface to make sure there is an electrical bond. If you do that, tefge on the bolts (so they come out in future) is fine.

I've been watching you two for a long time and I am truly happy that you made this voyage to Europe I believe this was meant to be than the south Pacific trip. Everything is happening for a reason and you are very blessed. Love watching you guys specially when I go back to the older videos of you in Panama, I still enjoy the older videos and seeing where you are today. Unfortunately I can't sail but I had the chance to motor to Bahamas and to Montreal from NJ in the 80's I'm sure there are stressing situations at times keep cool !! can't wait until next week!

Dust from Africa. I remember that our car in Italy was covered after it rain. We sailed (many decades ago) our 30 meter in the Meds, so peaceful.

I had the same problem with zincs, there is a stay current somewhere. Since I was on a moorng it was easy to identify the bilge pump as the problem (it was always on). When I replaced the bilge pump I ended up replacing the prop (it was really eaten away). I think the problem originated when the previous owners left the bilge pump in the bilge over winter and it froze solid in a block of ice. Replaced the bilge pump and never had another problem with corrosion.

That reddish dust you experienced was probably from the Sahara. The folds in our mainsail were stained when we wintered in Mallorca in 1985.
