Such a tiny Michael Jackson sample and such a huge effect on the whole song...Just shows how magical Michael was. I love you Mike. You brought so much joy to my family.
SWV is by far one of the greatest R'nB groups from the 90's!
My thoughts exactly
Stever Porcaro from the band Toto wrote the song Human Nature when his 5 year old daughter had a bad day at school and asked him "Why?" Quincy Jones found the song by accident and then showed it to Michael Jackson. And the rest was history.

All I can say is why do people have to state what they are a listener to. A good dam song shouldn’t matter the genera. Who cares what people say or think it’s when that song no matter what it is hits you that matters.
My best song ...back then...in primary school...Who is here in 2024?
You already know
Me🔥
I remember sitting in the backseat of the car as a kid, my parents driving me home from a ballet lesson through the Swedish countryside. I was listening to a compilation cassette tape (this was on the cusp in between the transition from cassettes to CDs), and this song was on it. I remember thinking I was so glad that I was in the backseat, so my parents couldn't see the tears streaming down my face, just looking out the window and letting the song wash over me. I didn't really understand English back then (I was only 11-12 years old), but the song was so powerful that I just couldn't help but crying. It was beautiful back then and even now, every time I listen to it, it still makes me tear up. These women (with a helping hand from the King of Pop himself) were a wonderful part of my childhood, because it's music like this that made appreciate the borderless beauty of music and made me want to properly learn English, and I can never thank them enough for that.
Toni Braxton, SWV, Whitney Houston, En Vogue, Salt n Pepa, TLC, Maria Carey. These were the 90's most incredible voices and still the best

I remember when I was a kid, listening to old songs that my parents grew up on, and how much joy they had listening to them with me. Here I am, at 40 years old, reminiscing, drunk off nostalgia listening to the music of my childhood. Life passes so fast, and nothing reminds us more than music. Adulthood seemed so far away at the time, and I never imagined I’d long for the days of youth like I do.
