    Great feedback, great example of a song that could definitely benefit from your tutelage.

    When I saw the title of this video it was what I had been looking for for months! Great feedback as always. Thank you! (This is maybe three good songs?) Anyway if there is anyone in the community that has time I have a question: Is more traditional orchestral music a lane for sync as long as the format is correct? I never see that. Anyway thank you again!

      Yes there's DEF a need for traditional orchestral music in Sync Licensing! It would likely be appropriate for TV & Film drama genres. Many Libraries carry a large collection of traditional orchestral tracks in their catalogues for a reason.

    Really great and revealing video! I think that Gary Brumett is correct, two more tracks can be extracted from this. Jesse has a way of opening your ears to what's really going on in a track. Awesome feedback!

    Nice review of the track, I like you are honest with the people and not like other TH-camrs say to every shit track " this is awesome, I like the vibe, well produced " :-)

      Thanks for the comment! I do try to be as honest as possible while keeping the overall tone of the review positive 👍

    Cool track... first thing that jumped out to me was that the strings were too far back in the mix, IMHO. Good energy, but it's really bass forward. Agree re: the drums as well, I wonder if it's the string attacks being off? I see this a lot, composers quantizing the strings, but not taking into account the actual attack transients, so they end up sounding off. This is really common with sustained strings as well.

    2 many parts. Also a very intense intro. Makes it hard to follow up and intensify. Drums are all over. Not tight. But some of the ideas are very good. Imho

    Question: do you think that slight drag on the drums in the beginning may have been intentional, to make it sound more natural, as opposed to having it exactly on the grid and sounding too in the box? Thoughts?

      I can't read the mind of the composer - perhaps that was his intention, but to me it sounded just a bit too "off" to be licensable.

    And this video raises another important question Jesse. Is it possible for a library to accept tracks that will never get placements? I am asking this because I noticed a track in one of the libraries out there that also has couple of rhythm timing issues but it's listed in their catalog normally.

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, plenty of my personal tracks that have been accepted by Libraries have never gotten placed. There are no guarantees in this business, but you should still put your best effort forward ALWAYS.

    Disagree.. Drum timing is fine it has a human element when it’s not totally on the grid. It’s a cool track..
