仙酔島国民宿舎跡地に進出決定の星野リゾートHoshino Resorts to open on former national guesthouse site on Sensuijima Island

広島県の鞆の浦にある仙酔島は仙人も酔ってしまうほど美しい島と言われる場所です。瀬戸内海国立公園のこの島は県内有数のパワースポットと言われています。
現在は通行禁止になっている南側の遊歩道添いの五色岩は国内唯一、世界にもたった55ヶ所らしいです。
2023年3月にはまだあった国民宿舎は2024年12月には国民宿舎は取壊されていました。跡地の再活用に星野リゾートが名乗りをあげ、決定しました。2029年の開業を目指します。
仙酔島への唯一の交通手段である渡船「平成いろは丸」、鞆の浦の様子も撮影してみました。
風待ちの港、鞆の浦は海沿いの平坦な場所に家屋が密集している様子が分かります。

Sensui Island in Tomonoura, Hiroshima Prefecture, is said to be so beautiful that even a hermit would get drunk. This island, part of the Setonaikai National Park, is said to be one of the prefecture's most powerful spots.
The Goshikiiwa rocks along the southern promenade, which is currently closed to traffic, are the only one of their kind in Japan, and one of only 55 in the world.
The national guesthouse, which was still standing in March 2023, was demolished in December 2024. Hoshino Resorts stepped up to reuse the site, and was selected. They aim to open in 2029.
I also took a photo of the ferry "Heisei Iroha Maru", the only means of transportation to Sensui Island, and Tomonoura.
Tomonoura, a port where people wait for the wind, has houses densely packed together on the flat land along the sea.
