Land Minister Betty Amongi grilled over reports of fraud in the Land fund

Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Betty Amongi has appeared before the Commission of inquiry into land matters for the second day to answer queries on the management of the Land Fund.
The commission put to the minister many claims of fraud in the fund where the government paid imposters while genuine claimants were sidelined.
The minister denied culpability in the mismanagement of the fund explaining that she intervened in areas like Kibaale to stop the fraud in the district land board.
