thanx, they do like the striped lawn here, even with a 4 wheeled mower, I think I would have had to cut twice, this lawn seems to grow very thick

Lovely job and a nice green healthy looking lawn.
I also find cleaning the grass collection box regularly to keep good air flow helps too to get the efficient grass collection.

@@TKGI feel your pain as I am getting fed up of cutting damp lawns due to all this rain.
Fingers crossed we get a better summer soon!

@@mattseymour8637 to be honest I am not holding my breath, I think a lot of us gardeners have struggled with the weather. if its not too much heat its too much rain

@@TKG Unfortunately I think you are right.
I don't think we will be having any summer.
I don't mind it being cooler as I don't like it too hot for working in but just some drier and slightly warmer days would be nice.

I had a hayter once, made the mistake of having a keystart, it was an awful mower, but I was new to the game then.

It really looks much better! What a year it's been and they are threatening more of the wet stuff and burning sun! Our old balmy summer days are now just....Barmy!

yup, we have a week of rain here, then another week of rain

@@TKGQuite a lot of the farmland around here has had so much standing water leaving giant mud pans that the tractors haven't been able to utilize, so I reckon the shops will put prices up more due to less produce being grown. Our rain didn't come to much yesterday as forecast. I think it best not to rely on those forecasts, If I go out and get wet it is raining, if i stay dry, it is not raining. It has inspired you with some great songs though! Loving them! Yet to hear your classic 'Reas don't like the rain!'

Hi I have just started doing gardens myself and was wondering how much u would charge for something this size and overgrown as I have just started I have not a clue what prices to charge all the gardens I have been gettin are very long mostly waist high so I have just been strimming them right down and will go over it with the mower when it’s a dry spell of weather because when I do try and cut it it’s just clogging up my mower and it’s cutting out and that’s it at it’s highest

pricing is a minefield, when we first start out an hourly rate is the best way, BUT it limits you a lot, pricing depends on area, your overheads, time, experience, basically you want to charge no less that 20 an hour, this is bare minimum, work your way up to charging more as new customer come in, when looking at a job, ask yourself how long will it take, and how much waste is there going to be. if its two hours, then price it at 3- 4 hours, if its very overgrown grass, you have to account for wear and tear of your equipment as you will be pushing it most likely beyond its limits.
When I price a lawn that is really over grown, I will sometimes work out how much it would be if I was to cut it when its not overgrown, work out how many cuts its missed and their is your price, or there abuts
