I was there with my family. This was awesome to witness. It was like 80 and Glas was in a leather jacket and wool skull cap. Did you guys notice Robert rarely looks at the keys? How many of you keyboard players can do all that and rarely look down? I've started doing it just because of Glas. Love him.
like honestly, Black Radio was the most honest form of RnB/Jazz/HipHop I've heard in quite possibly the last 6-7 years..it was so true and authentic. it swept every RnB album that was released before and after it....and Casey, what a dominant force, carries the whole tune on vocoder/keytar and then switches midway to sax and KILLS it. he carries such a load with effects, ambiance, mulit-instrmental talent it's easy to take it for granted when you'be been listening to them for a year plus lol
casey benjamin+ most ruling dude in the land! if i didn't know this group with chris dave on the drums i would love this more, but knowing the energy and swing he brings it's hard to not miss it! nothing against, but CD is just exceptionally exceptionally very fucking good!
I only recorded two videos of the Robert Glasper Band...if you have not already hit my videos link at top of this page and see what I have or subscribe to my channel
I could listen to a harmonized saxophone for hours and hours and hours. There doesn't even need to be any accompaniment, just a harmonized saxophone.
I agree; that instrumentation and its role in the song is so brilliant. Completely unique.

Out all the videos I've watched of other people trying to hit the saxophone just like him on the same song they can't match to he's perfection.
