  • About this app
The FUTÁR application by BKK Centre for Budapest Transport has been renewed under the name BudapestGO, which, in addition to real-time route planning, has been extended with new functions: you can buy digital single tickets, daily and weekly travelcards or passes in the application and you can also be informed immediately about the current transport service changes. You can use the route planner with a cleaner and clearer interface, facilitated by a number of new features.

Outside the doors of buses and trams there is a QR code, you have to scan (validate) it with the app (in the metro you will find the QR code sticker at the entrance of the ticket machines). The ticket validated in this way is valid until you get off. If you change to another vehicle, you need to scan another ticket. There is also a ticket type that is valid for 30 or 90 minutes, but you will still need to rescan the QR code on each vehicle, because the 30 or 90 minutes starts from the moment you board the first vehicle. As long as you are within the 30 or 90 minutes, you can transfer as many times as you like, it is the time of boarding that counts.

Thanks for this information. Very helpful. I will be buying the 72-hour pass for 2 adults and will be buying it by using my credit card and iPhone. My question is when we go to board the tram or metro, do I show my iPhone validation for 2 persons, or does every person need to buy a travel card for himself? My other question is, if I'm at the metro and for some reason there is no Wi-Fi signal or connection, how do I validate my online ticket?

I have a quick question regarding the 72 hours travel card, do i need to validate the same while boarding the metro or the front boarding buses ?? Can i also travel on the tram line two using the same pass

IF I remember correctly, once you validate it starts the 72 hours. And I think its good for all forms of inner city transportation. But I would ask someone at a bus or train station just to make sure. =)
      Thanks for watching.
