Mustang ecoboost, V6, GT, Gt Premium, Roush stage 1, 2 and 3, Saleen Mustang, Shelby GT500, Super Snake, GT350, GT350R, and calling that 13 cars! Its not, its the same model year 13 times over. That is what you got with GT and their "1000" cars, it was a joke.

We'll be getting free DLC that'll add cars and quite possibly, new tracks. I don't want to see them half ass old cars and slap them on there for the sake of fanservice and money. It'll be a money grab, and people will be disappointed. Their choice of having the consumer get a full bang for their buck, which is $60, will make the customer happy and remain them playing the game. Noone wants to see $20, $30 dollars worth of effort put in to a $60 game. They went for long term results, so be patient, they'll come full circle.
Looking back at the vanilla car list of GTS, it has come a long way. From that to almost 300 cars now. Keep those updates coming Kaz. You'll eventually meet your quota of at least 500 cars.
I 2000% agree. With the disgustingly horrible representation of McLaren and other independent supercar manufacturers (e.g. Pagani, Koenigsegg) not being in the game, GT Sport's car list (even with all the current DLC updates) is a big joke.
Wish they would bring back the second hand dealership. It was always fun seeing what old cars will show up, everything from crazy cars like the Tank Car, to supercars like the Veyron, to random 50s Citroen's. GT5 pulled that off perfectly.

Here's the thing, Polyphony announced before that GT Sport is released as the "subtitutes" of the 'Prologue' series for PS4 as well as allowing the players to enter real FIA Gran Turismo championships with under supervision of FIA themselves. By that reason alone you can see why there's only racecars after racecars with only below 200 total of cars and very limited racetracks. Because they want to show you how the next GT games on PS4 would look and play. Don't be discouraged, because Polyphony recently announced they're currently working on a new GT game that will be the same GT from the series that you love. So you need to be patient until you can drive your favorite JZA80. :)

It's not all about you. Car manufacturers work with GT so they could design their fantasy cars and bring them to digital life and drive it in the game.
I hope the free DLCs are good, because there are very few categories of racing here: Group N is the standard road car class, obviously, but there are a few track specials like the Aston Martin Vulcan as well. Group 4 is basically FIA GT4, but without many actual FIA GT4 cars and a lot of made-up cars to restore variety. Group 3 is the same story with FIA GT3, with at least one old "LM Edition" type car (even if it was never called that) added in. Group 1 is closed-cockpit LMP1 mixed with a bunch of detuned VGT race cars. Group B is the ONLY form of dirt racing portrayed, and contains only one actual (i.e. 1980s-era) Group B car. Other rally classes (Group A, "old" 2000cc WRC, "new" 1600cc WRC, etc.) are nowhere to be found, and the same with rallycross and any other form of dirt racing. There is apparently no Group 2, and "old" FIA GT1 & GT2 (which everyone seems to have forgotten about, sadly) are nowhere to be found, and the old "LM Edition" cars which could be remastered at a higher poly count and used to fill these classes are also missing. Same story with older (open-cockpit) LMP cars, along with Group C. DTM and Super GT are likewise not represented. Pretty thin, when you think about it.

Strange to Come back and look at the Base game's list after all the cars added since, Kinda odd since there's just a lack of a lot I've gotten used to since, and like, only one Blimming Classic car, Being the Audi Quattro Rally car. It's like a weird sense of Deja vu but something's missing.
Idk you guys, but Im very disappointed. My fav car list, still remains from GT5, you know... F1, NASCAR, WRC, LeMans, JDM, lot of Ferraris, Lamborghini, BMW, Audi. Ford GT and more... Yes, it had a lot of shitty Japan cars of the same model, but still was far better than this... Only thing that really attracts me are the GT Vision cars, but those, are from GT6 anyways... Gran Turismo was my first PS one game and i have been buying the following instalments ever since, except for this one. I can't believe the developer chose to ignore his fans like this. I miss the days when i would spend hours racing just to get the credits to buy a car and add it to my garage.

The Heartfelt Kid It's there but not in singleplayer. This is a game trying to take itself seriously with it's E-Sports so you progress through online.
I'm the biggest Gran Turismo fan, and i will not be buying this game, from the lack of single player mode to the mediocre car list, that's just too much to take.
I like both GT and the Forza games, since they were really cool racing games. Though there was a really good selection of cars featured in Gran Turismo Sport, it's kind of a shame that there aren't any classic retro vehicles (so no Chevelle SS, sadly), as well as the removal of vehicles from the 80's all the way to the late 2000's (with the exception for the 1987 Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak, the 2009 Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 T Sport and the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia), though I am pleased that GT Sport has finally included Porsche vehicles, after so long. All in all, GT Sport has a fairly decent selection of vehicles to choose from, but I personally rather stick with Forza Motorsport 7, since I do remember that FM7 was able to maintain a strong vehicle count of 700+ (never mind the fact that Toyota vehicles were no longer featured in FM7). Again, Forza and Gran Turismo were both great racing series.
The UI lay out looks outstanding. Hopefully these cars feel as fast as they did in GT4 As for car list is satisfactory, but astounding as always. Can't wait for Gran Turismo 7. Unlike these competitive pillicks that don't understand that this is a prologue E-sports title...

Someone below said pro racers were using GT6 as opposed to Forza6 - that's amusing. I'd be very surprised to hear of any pro or amateur racer ever using either one for anything other than a mild distraction or maybe to see a track if never been there. There are infinitely better racing sims available publicly on PCs and some very expensive private ones that teams use that work much better. If want to have some fun racing your friends around go for it but if actually want to try to simulate a real car and learn something then to go to PC or better yet go to a real track day - you don't need a race car to try it for real!

The recent forza 7 rivals event is Josef Newgarden (Indy 2017 champ) and he is a longtime Forza Fan. However I've seen and raced several professional race drivers in iRacing. I doubt any game has more real drivers than that.
Jore Deam VR is VR. Do you see Forza having VR at all. At least you can play in VR. Besides that I put the professional racers into the mix because they said they liked the realism and the grieving mechanics felt better than forza's. Don't get me wrong. I love Forza because my friend has it on his Xbox so when I go to his house he has a cool gaming chair, stick shift, steering wheel, and gas pedals so I almost feel like I'm in a reel car when I play it. I do agree GT sport should have given us a few more cars but the free docs later on will give us the selection we wanted. I'm saying if Forza became available on both consoles, It would be amazing because I can only imagine what I could do with my friends setup and VR. It would be a dream come true. Simulating driving fast with no consequences. But there is one thing that Forza is good at, it's car collection. I feel like that's why people think it's better and not the gameplay. Just throw a bunch of cars in there and call it a good game. I feel like GT doesn't want to be that and focus how certain cars drive and not just hand 25 cars to you at a time.

Group 3 is the same story with FIA GT3, with at least one old "LM Edition" type car (even if it was never called that) added in.
Group 1 is closed-cockpit LMP1 mixed with a bunch of detuned VGT race cars.
Group B is the ONLY form of dirt racing portrayed, and contains only one actual (i.e. 1980s-era) Group B car. Other rally classes (Group A, "old" 2000cc WRC, "new" 1600cc WRC, etc.) are nowhere to be found, and the same with rallycross and any other form of dirt racing.
There is apparently no Group 2, and "old" FIA GT1 & GT2 (which everyone seems to have forgotten about, sadly) are nowhere to be found, and the old "LM Edition" cars which could be remastered at a higher poly count and used to fill these classes are also missing. Same story with older (open-cockpit) LMP cars, along with Group C. DTM and Super GT are likewise not represented.

Idk you guys, but Im very disappointed. My fav car list, still remains from GT5, you know... F1, NASCAR, WRC, LeMans, JDM, lot of Ferraris, Lamborghini, BMW, Audi. Ford GT and more... Yes, it had a lot of shitty Japan cars of the same model, but still was far better than this... Only thing that really attracts me are the GT Vision cars, but those, are from GT6 anyways...

This game is a joke, maybe Im mad, but again, after all this time, the delays... is a joke, we got less tracks, less cars (a lot less) and the ones we get are 80% from GT6. Even the graphics aint that great. Still has the flat trees, or that pixel shadow problem, that its been there since GT5, and Idk why, cuz GT5 Prologue didnt have it. If people keep buying Gran Turismo is because of nostalgia (Im one of those) but now with a lot of options, this game seems just like a shadow of what once used to be...

Gran Turismo was my first PS one game and i have been buying the following instalments ever since, except for this one. I can't believe the developer chose to ignore his fans like this. I miss the days when i would spend hours racing just to get the credits to buy a car and add it to my garage.

I like both GT and the Forza games, since they were really cool racing games. Though there was a really good selection of cars featured in Gran Turismo Sport, it's kind of a shame that there aren't any classic retro vehicles (so no Chevelle SS, sadly), as well as the removal of vehicles from the 80's all the way to the late 2000's (with the exception for the 1987 Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak, the 2009 Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 T Sport and the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia), though I am pleased that GT Sport has finally included Porsche vehicles, after so long.
All in all, GT Sport has a fairly decent selection of vehicles to choose from, but I personally rather stick with Forza Motorsport 7, since I do remember that FM7 was able to maintain a strong vehicle count of 700+ (never mind the fact that Toyota vehicles were no longer featured in FM7). Again, Forza and Gran Turismo were both great racing series.

Someone below said pro racers were using GT6 as opposed to Forza6 - that's amusing. I'd be very surprised to hear of any pro or amateur racer ever using either one for anything other than a mild distraction or maybe to see a track if never been there. There are infinitely better racing sims available publicly on PCs and some very expensive private ones that teams use that work much better. If want to have some fun racing your friends around go for it but if actually want to try to simulate a real car and learn something then to go to PC or better yet go to a real track day - you don't need a race car to try it for real!
So before the Forza fanboys start hating on the game answer this. Why were professional racers playing GT6 when Forza 6 was out? I don’t really need an answer as I already know why but the game might have 200 less cars but let’s slow down for a quick bit. professional racers playing GT6? hahaha, come on now. Professionals don't waste their time on 'arcade' games. The only thing they play is AC/iRacing which are miles ahead of any GT/Forza game (and most likely always will be)
The recent forza 7 rivals event is Josef Newgarden (Indy 2017 champ) and he is a longtime Forza Fan. However I've seen and raced several professional race drivers in iRacing. I doubt any game has more real drivers than that.
Jore Deam VR is VR. Do you see Forza having VR at all. At least you can play in VR. Besides that I put the professional racers into the mix because they said they liked the realism and the grieving mechanics felt better than forza's. Don't get me wrong. I love Forza because my friend has it on his Xbox so when I go to his house he has a cool gaming chair, stick shift, steering wheel, and gas pedals so I almost feel like I'm in a reel car when I play it. I do agree GT sport should have given us a few more cars but the free docs later on will give us the selection we wanted. I'm saying if Forza became available on both consoles, It would be amazing because I can only imagine what I could do with my friends setup and VR. It would be a dream come true. Simulating driving fast with no consequences. But there is one thing that Forza is good at, it's car collection. I feel like that's why people think it's better and not the gameplay. Just throw a bunch of cars in there and call it a good game. I feel like GT doesn't want to be that and focus how certain cars drive and not just hand 25 cars to you at a time.
