So good to view all our dear religious ones, alive and active, doing the Lord's work in rightful earnest - alleluia! We admire each and every one of you!!
Jesus formed his Apostles and and asked them to spread His Word to the ends of the earth. The Apostles of Jesus were His first priests, St. Peter (then Apostle Simon) being the rock, as Jesus told him “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Therefore, he and the early Christians spreaded the Gospel and set a tradition, and so on… those traditions and teachings are what the Catholic Church is now. St. Peter was the one who founded the Catholic Church by the authority of Jesus Christ Himself.
