- Hello everyone! I can't believe it's time to talk about this. As a manga reader, the anticipation for this arc is unreal. I am so excited to watch this unfold on the big screen!

Hello Hana! About you mentioning that you'd prefer the weekly excitement and missing the ops, eds and taisho secrets: there is a chance that just like they did with mugen train, they will release the movies first and then make a series out of them (with new cuts). I'm not sure if they will release the seasons in 3 parts right after each movie drops or if they do a whole season in one go after every movie has aired, though! ;D
Looking back, that was a really smart move. It makes it much simpler to watch the series, for the people who will get into it once the anime is finished.
I personally think (and I haven’t seen this anywhere else so it might be kind of wild lol) first Movie in Spring of 2025, Kyojuro Rengoku side story SERIES (3-4 episodes) in Fall of 2025, 2nd movie in Spring of 2026, Giyu Tomioka side story SERIES (3-4 episodes) in Fall of 2026, then 3rd movie in Spring of 2027, then Sun Rise Countdown SERIES in Fall of 2027.
I think this might be feasible because I HOPE they learned from other series’ like AOT, where the fan base kind of simmered out after the 2nd film. If we’re constantly being fed Demon Slayer throughout the year, the hype will definitely not die down. Also, since they were acquired by Sony, this could provide for more funding to perform an approach like this!
AOT's fanbase simmered out because of the very long lull after season 1. There was nothing and when it came back, it had a change in studio from WIT to mappa. A controversial new look and a new artstyle. It was a consistency issue that ufotable does not have.

I could really care less about "hype" or the cultural relevance. Episodic seems to hit content creators the hardest because they cannot farm viewers and accelerate their channels. None of that matters to me.
I care more about the big picture. The overall integrity and quality of the series. Its legacy wrapped up nicely. Signed and packaged. A good example is edgerunners. A 10 episode short by trigger. It has a great reputation despite having no hype behind it at the time.
You said it yourself.. you cared more about the hype and weekly discussions surrounding JJK rather than the series itself. You didn't care for spoilers. That is just instant gratification. Dopamine. Its not important as much as the reputation of the series itself. This tells me the trilogy is the way to go long term.
If by doing a movie format, ufotable can have a great production schedule with adequate time where they can produce the highest quality product that they can, then so be it. I can finally recommend this series to my friends as an entire set once its finished. I can also own a product that is worth it.
S1 > mugen train > S2 > S3 > S4 > trilogy > ?

Mugen Train (2020) was successful & the hype was real on social media, so I don't know if am worried about that myself. I am just excited, for what's next.
I wonder if there's a chance that ufotable will work with Gotouge or within their staff to polish & improve the final arc, especially where you feel it was rushed?

Yeah I'm hoping that now Sony owns Crunchyroll and KnY has been building relationships with theaters worldwide for a few years now with the recap movies, we could be looking at a simultaneous worldwide release. Especially how Crunchyroll aired that trailer IMMEDIATELY, and Sony posted about it, and it's already announced to be coming to theaters. Western sources are usually really slow at posting trailers and promo reels. Normally we don't get them for like a week or two after Japan. We already know that, at most, we'd only have to wait less than a month based on the recap movies anyway, which I don't think is a long time. But maybe it's down to a week or two, or even nothing!
They did special screenings for the premieres of S3 and S4. That was definitely a cash grab, but they might've tried to see how international Simultaneous releases perform. And considering how much money they made, its very likely that they will do full on worldwide releases for the trilogy. Gonna make a Kimetzillion dollars fosho 🤑🤑🤑
So, I keep noticing that Ufotable keeps calling this the final Arc, so I think they are including Sunrise countdown. But as long as they don't take like 3-5 years for all of them to finish. Because that's gonna just kill the series I think. But if they stick to a reasonable timeline I think it will be incredible.
Originally I was gonna go see the "To the hashira training arc" movie in theatres, but, the only place it was airing in my province, was in the capitol. So I didn't end up going since I live far away from there. I also wanna see the tales of the water and fire animated! I want more Kyojuro rengoku! (And Shinjuro Rengoku) BUT MOSTLY KYOJURO! Lol
They call it "the final battle" not "the final arc". As we know, this is all the final battle. But it's not the final arc, which is why I think Sunrise Countdown will be separate.
the next arc is gonna be insane for sure but infinity castle arc is not the final arc, the final and last arc is sunrise countdown arc
I think the release schedule will be quicker than everyone thinks. My prediction is the first movie comes out this Oct/Nov. Part 2 in May 2025, and Part 3 in Nov 2025. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@@nsydd3122 I would be very happy if you were right, but considering they didn't release a timeframe in the trailer tells me we are waiting at least until next year.
@@lookingnerdy I care more about them being alotted the necessary time for high quality production than quick release just because we want it. You want to take advantage of the movie format. I would think of the larger picture. The legacy of the series rather than instant gratification.
That's pretty unrealistic. If the production is anything similar to the heavens feels trilogy, we'll get a movie per year. First one, I'll see releasing around the middle of next year.
