I was surprised to see the name WrathChild at the very start of the video. Worked with them in the late 80's - Early 90"s when they played many times at L'mours. Great shows and great times there!
I played drums for Biohazard in the 80s we were like the unofficial house band there, opening for national acts then soon headlining.Kenny and staff were the best and gave us and a lot of bands who were starting out back then a lot of opportunities .The place dominated the boroughs in rock music!!But live Biohazard from lamour in the late 80s is hard to find on the internet(go figure?).
I think Carnivore were that, being they were all from Brooklyn, ironically the Gravesend section. I lived there too. I’d walk to L’Amour, a long walk to L’Amour, I was on Ave P and West 1st Street, I would walk straight up 64th Street to 16Th Ave.
@@TheSchmed carnivore gave us a career,if it wasn't for carnivore there would be no biohazard,we learned from them,we road crewed for them during the early years of the 80s ,they named us,gave us gear to gig with,we would opened for them Many times at the very beginning of our career,we love you forever and thank you Peter(rip)!
MEO TV yeah, I was friendly with a couple of guys in Disciple (Dave & Bobby Gonzales), and Dave would be like “wow, I can see Pete’s parents hiding under the covers with him practicing in the basement singing “I love to eat pussy...”, and I would be thinking these guys (Carnivore) are going to be a huge thing eventually, and they were. My close buddy Adam T worked at Norm’s Music, and was a good friend of Pete’s. Pete and his wife (back then) were at his wedding, we had a lot of fun that night.
in addition to huge metal acts, you got classic hardcore/crossover bands like Carnivore, Sheer Terror, Suicidal Tendencies, Cro-Mags, Biohazard, warzone, etc. Man what I'd do to have gone to those shows
I remember in 85 WASP headlined 2 nights and Savatage opened at least the first night because I was there that night but I can't find proof of those 2 shows anywhere, was anyone else there? I think it might have been March 30 & 31 because it says on WASP's tour dates they had a couple of days off after the 29 at the Meadowlands, and I keep seeing that Savatage played L'amour on the 30 but it says they headlined, so I'm thinking it was WASP trying to pick up extra cash on off days or something.
Had the great pleasure of playing there many times with TWO GUN CUPID. Some of the best memories of my life were spent there.
Great venue! Saw Queensryche, Frehley, Malmsteen, and many others there in my pre-ED days! LOL
