If you encounter a Polar Bear in the wild, it's been tracking you for a _long_ time, and it 100% intends to eat you. Oh yeah, and it won't bother actually finishing you off entirely before it starts to eat you. And it's likely going to try to tear out your liver first, since that's the most nutritious part of your body to the bear (and most other meat-eaters that aren't the ones who start at your groin first ... which is a _lot_ of them), so your mid-section is going bye-bye first. Your death is going to be extremely bloody and extremely painful. For the few seconds or minutes it takes for you to bleed out or die of shock. And don't bother with a gun. It'll do literally _nothing_ to the Polar Bear. Not even a shotgun. Your only chance if you can't get inside something solid like a building or large reinforced truck is to use the gun on yourself.
That's where you are wrong. A 12 gauge Brenneke style slug will flatline any bear, or any animal on earth instantly if you shoot em in the head. If you know you know. If you don't know, educate yourself.
@@oldcodger4371 Except there are video interviews and even video footage of people shooting a Polar Bear or even a Grizzly in the head with a shotgun and it didn't kill it. At least, not with the first shot. Also, _you_ try to be that pinpoint accurate when a bear that big is rushing you from only a few feet away at most. It's one thing practising with a paper or metal target, it's another when your actual life is on the line and adrenaline is rushing through you. So I don't need to educate myself because I already have. Sounds like you need to educate yourself on the biology of bears.

There is a lot of myth in the tiger part. Yes there are man eating Tigers but in general they dont prefer human meat and wont attack unless encroached upon or threatened (I've lived in India for a little over a decade before and been on a Tiger safari with experienced guides and rangers). Human meat is their least preferred and only time they will attack is extreme hunger likely caused by either lack of prey due to human encroachment chasing away their natural prey from the territory or losing or damaging a vital hunting organ in which case humans become the only accessible prey. However, once they consume human meat once, they might develop a taste for it which is when they become man eaters. Like many sharks. They might as well be the sharks of land.
However more so than alligators, crocs are certified man eaters especially Saltwater crocodile and Nile crocodiles.

Sweetie, running from a bear triggers their prey response and can turn a bluff charge into a real charge. And these are animals that can run faster than Usain Bolt. Like by a lot. And once they catch you they are the ones that are deciding if you live or not.
