Bahaghari is the nationwide grassroots organization of Filipino LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender). We organize LGBT+ Filipinos in various communities, municipalities, regions, schools, and workplaces in the country, and we are staunch advocates for equality for the LGBT community in the country-be it in the realm of economics, politics, or culture. As a national organization, Bahaghari is at the forefront of advancing LGBT rights in the country, and we have notably helped craft expanded versions of the SOGIE Equality Bill in Philippine Congress, led educational discussions on the LGBT situation in the Philippines, and co-organized this year’s Metro Manila Pride, Metro Baguio Pride, Central Luzon Pride, and Southern Tagalog Pride.
