C engineer clutching the quick kill on the boss and tieing Settled messed up Faux's score and made it so settled won instead of tieing with Faux. C engineer helps by showing up is an insane way to end the season. lmaooo
I know, right!? And the fact that Settled brought C Engineer into the finals with him to begin with...like it could not have all played out any more perfect for him. C Engineer was the shake N Bake for Settled in that final challenge.
C Engineer ran around like a headless chicken for the majority of the final challenges and then proceeded to dunk on the PvMers on a PvM challenge (no doubt as revenge for the lack of PvP challenges in the final). He went from having no impact in the final to being the clutch factor that secured the win for his ally.
Holy shit, C Engineer running around and somehow finding the last step is actually such a brilliant parallel to how he got into the Gielinor Games finals.
@@BrooksPietz I wouldn't go nearly that far but he may be near the top when it comes to content creators. In terms of pvm he can't hold a flame to people like Woox, Port Khazard, Gnomemonkey ect. There are most likely some super autistic people with much more game knowledge as well.

He's just happy to be there. Not many get a chance to partake in the final at all. However, his placement in the final challenge helped Settled win, gave him the 3 extra points needed to surpass Faux, or else Faux and Settled would've tied that challenge for only 3 points, giving Faux the win.

It's a bit ironic that his worst performances all season were on the Morytania-related challenges in this final. The Port Phasmatys trivia question where he got 0 points, and the money-making challenge where he placed the worst among the 3 finalists who chose the Morytania quadrant along with him. Of course it's just a weird coincidence it ended up that way, but I was guessing he would clutch out more on "home soil".
It's the same celebration clip everytime. Soup was collecting money up till the end so they never actually knew the prize pool they were playing for. Much easier on soup that way
Yeah for the most part, however he does take out voices that arent competing, you can especially tell in this one. Boatys say less is just subtle little joke as far as I can tell. For example you dont hear torvestas bored voice or zoe. Just a funny on soups part and its great.
Settled picked C Engineer to be a finalist... C Engineer getting top spot (By one point!!) in the Kalphite Queen challenge knocked Faux down from tied 2nd place to 3rd place, which lost him a point in the final challenge, or in other words if it weren't for Settled picking his buddy C Engineer for this finale, he wouldn't've won. Settled truly is the king of OSRS right now. His video of getting the 0-damage nightmare mode fire cape comes out and within the same week the video of him winning Gielinor Games drops. Absolute legend. I was rooting for him from episode 1. Also C Engineer tying for first in the last round and winning Settled the entire competition was insane.

If C Engineer had gotten even one less point and tied with Faux, Faux would've gotten second place instead of third, tying him with Settled for the finale, forcing a tie breaker. Settled got a definitive victory because he and Engineer tied for first.

Yeah a bit sketchy there. In one of the scenes, if you use the stamina countdown widget as a reference you'll notice Faux's count to 10 is actually more like 8 seconds. Ultimately don't think it mattered though! GG
When the winner was announced I actually cheered. I really thought it would go the other way. Incredible work Soup, these GG series are top-tier entertainment and a real highlight of my week.
C Engineer is like an average Joe competing in the Olympics. He highlights how spectacular the other contestants are by just playing like a normal person would in the situation.
Well and to be fair to the guy, he's still a complete beast compared to average players. I'd say it's like watching a really good but (not quite great) player in College Football compete against pro-bowl caliber players in the NFL

Got inspired by your Morytania series to start OSRS as an HCIM and was loving the game again Was welcomed by a great clan were I do daily voice chats with. Holy! What a season and what a finale. Soup you've absolutely outdone yourself this time. Been routing for Settled to win this entire season, and from his alliance with SoloMission, to Solo being taken out by the giant slayer, Boaty, and then Settled enacting his vengeance and getting revenge for his friend and mentor, SoloMission, by taking out Boaty in a banning. Settled won so many challenges, 3 (?) bannings, and of course, our hearts this season, and he couldn't deserve the win more. I really thought Faux won, after he said he had 25 points and then he got 2 more, and it was between 26 and 27 points, I had resigned the idea that Settled may have just missed, but i cheered so loudly when I saw he won. What a season. Absolutely some of the best OSRS content EVER MADE!!!!

I know both this and Settled's no damage fire cape were filmed a while ago; but the fact that both things aired the same week is disgustingly legendary.
This series gave me something to look forward to every week. Its been a really rough few months but this was always the saving grace during a terrible day. This has been such a fun season to watch!
Settled's Morytania locked series was my re-exposure to OSRS after having not seen anything about it in over a decade and a half. Watching him grow through that series even made me have a desire to pick up OSRS again. I eventually started watching other CC's for OSRS but Settled will always be that incredibly special CC to me because he's the one who brought me back to enjoying OSRS. I was rooting for him since the first episode and seeing him win Gielinor Games is an absolutely amazing moment and I'm glad to have witnessed it. Way to go, Settled. Keep it up!

Faux said due to the increasing price of bonds his 15billion will be used up on bonds in 6 months - I've done the calculations based on a bond being 13mil - and that's approximately 44.8 years-worth of bonds
I don't think winning GG has ever meant someone is the "best" player in OSRS, but god damn if Settled didn't make a case for it this season. Congrats on the win and thanks for making S4 an absolute joy to watch.
@@WestCoastKid02 He had to beat every great pvm/pvper to get to where he was. He was up for elimination multiple times and once against the legend, boaty, and won. He's not the best pvmer, he's certainly not the best pvper, but he's easily one of the best all-rounders. Being an all-rounder is what GG is all about and he absolutely deserved the win. Also, how in the world is a red X race and a second place on both gp spent AND timed KQ kill "zero skill"? It's not tribridding or soloing ToB, but it's still skill based.
Settled winning is so deserved. He was on fire in almost every challenge. Probably the most dominant overall performance in GG so far. Awesome season once again, and huge props to Soup for all the effort put into the videos. It actually feels like watching a TV show.

I did not expect the final cape of skulls to actually be J1mmy in disguise and for him to assassinate Soup at the end to steal the win! Amazing cinematography, tension, and plot twists right up till the very end!

I’m so glad Settled’s review vid randomly came up on my TH-cam recommendations one day leading me down to this wild rabbit whole of a journey. I don’t even watch or play RS but I’m glad I was able to witness the best game show in history. Amazing job to Soup, team, and all of the competitors this season. Needless to say, I’m sticking for the next one. P.S. My heart sunk when Faux said that he got 25pts knocking Settled’s 19pts out of the competition for first place. Love that cheeky editing.
Props to Soup for putting together the best Runescape game show imaginable. Each episode was such a thrill. The contestants gave it their all and were spectacular, you can tell this thing means a lot to them.
The most surprising part of this is that Swamp Man with even with his two biggest throws of the episode being when the swamp was involved, with the trivia question and money making. I think it's time to officially say that Settled has outgrown Master of the Swamp and into Master of Runescape.
SOUP! Such an unbelievably riveting series. You and your team put this together so well, it seriously had me waiting for the next release. Children, work and other engagements have kept me away from the game for many years, but it is very refreshing to see so many people passionate about it and its future. It would not be possible without creators like you and the competitors this season. Massive GG to the man, the myth, the legend Settled. Definitely my personal favorite creator and this victory was not only well deserved, but beyond earned. Can’t wait for GG5. Until then.

It's 4am, fresh off my shift and i'm sitting here fist pumping yelling "LETTSS GOOOOO" when i hear that settled won, I love faux but i would have been devastated had settled not won. Absolutely Legendary.
It's been my theory the entire season that he would win because he de-ironed McTile and started his "McTile to Grandmaster" series shortly after they finished filming this season of GG. He needed a main account to accept the GP prize.
I just want to say- Settled went from being someone I watched occasionally if I had already watched the new Framed,Torvesta,Evscape videos, to becoming easily my favorite content creator for RuneScape. I’ve watched almost every series he’s created and his work ethic and dedication are just insane. We love you Settled, never stop being you man!
Four years ago, I found Settled around 5 episodes before the end of Swampletics, and continued watching him on McTile, all the while knowing that this was a game I really enjoyed as a kid, it was one I hadn't revisted in over a decade in any capacity. About halfway through McTile, I started playing again -- and kept watching him upload, but to say I was casually approaching the game would be an understatement. Through my viewings of his videos, my recommended brough me to CEngineer, SoloMission, Framed, and eventually - Soup! As I consumed more OSRS content on youtube, my interest and enjoyment of the game rose in lock-step. Now, a lot of my recommended is OSRS, and it's not uncommon for me to have the wiki on my second monitor (even when not playing the game-like now, as I write this comment.) I'm working on my quest cape and am down to my final six quests. I absolutely loved this season, and the seasons before it -- and while I know this is your channel and not everyone elses -- The community has made me love the game so much more -- and I feel that is a fairly novel thing not only when it comes to communities based around MMOs specifically, but gaming communities as a whole. Thank you for making the series. and thank you all for making this strange old game that I fondly remembered playing in my web browser as a child, such a wonderful and treasured thing for me to keep coming back to time after time. Congrats to all the finalists!
I've recommended this series to multiple friends that don't even play RuneScape and they have absolutely loved it. This season had me on edge every episode, cheering out loud at moments. It's the same celebration clip everytime. Soup was collecting money up till the end so they never actually knew the prize pool they were playing for. Much easier on soup that way
Yeah for the most part, however he does take out voices that arent competing, you can especially tell in this one. Boatys say less is just subtle little joke as far as I can tell. For example you dont hear torvestas bored voice or zoe. Just a funny on soups part and its great.

Settled truly is the king of OSRS right now. His video of getting the 0-damage nightmare mode fire cape comes out and within the same week the video of him winning Gielinor Games drops. Absolute legend. I was rooting for him from episode 1. Also C Engineer tying for first in the last round and winning Settled the entire competition was insane.

When the winner was announced I actually cheered. I really thought it would go the other way. Incredible work Soup, these GG series are top-tier entertainment and a real highlight of my week.
C Engineer is like an average Joe competing in the Olympics.
He highlights how spectacular the other contestants are by just playing like a normal person would in the situation.
Well and to be fair to the guy, he's still a complete beast compared to average players. I'd say it's like watching a really good but (not quite great) player in College Football compete against pro-bowl caliber players in the NFL

Been routing for Settled to win this entire season, and from his alliance with SoloMission, to Solo being taken out by the giant slayer, Boaty, and then Settled enacting his vengeance and getting revenge for his friend and mentor, SoloMission, by taking out Boaty in a banning.
Settled won so many challenges, 3 (?) bannings, and of course, our hearts this season, and he couldn't deserve the win more.
I really thought Faux won, after he said he had 25 points and then he got 2 more, and it was between 26 and 27 points, I had resigned the idea that Settled may have just missed, but i cheered so loudly when I saw he won.

Settled's Morytania locked series was my re-exposure to OSRS after having not seen anything about it in over a decade and a half. Watching him grow through that series even made me have a desire to pick up OSRS again. I eventually started watching other CC's for OSRS but Settled will always be that incredibly special CC to me because he's the one who brought me back to enjoying OSRS. I was rooting for him since the first episode and seeing him win Gielinor Games is an absolutely amazing moment and I'm glad to have witnessed it. Way to go, Settled. Keep it up!

He's not the best pvmer, he's certainly not the best pvper, but he's easily one of the best all-rounders. Being an all-rounder is what GG is all about and he absolutely deserved the win.
Also, how in the world is a red X race and a second place on both gp spent AND timed KQ kill "zero skill"? It's not tribridding or soloing ToB, but it's still skill based.

I’m so glad Settled’s review vid randomly came up on my TH-cam recommendations one day leading me down to this wild rabbit whole of a journey. I don’t even watch or play RS but I’m glad I was able to witness the best game show in history. Amazing job to Soup, team, and all of the competitors this season. Props to Soup for putting together the best Runescape game show imaginable. Each episode was such a thrill. The contestants gave it their all and were spectacular, you can tell this thing means a lot to them.
The most surprising part of this is that Swamp Man with even with his two biggest throws of the episode being when the swamp was involved, with the trivia question and money making.
I think it's time to officially say that Settled has outgrown Master of the Swamp and into Master of Runescape.
SOUP! Such an unbelievably riveting series. You and your team put this together so well, it seriously had me waiting for the next release. Children, work and other engagements have kept me away from the game for many years, but it is very refreshing to see so many people passionate about it and its future. It would not be possible without creators like you and the competitors this season. Massive GG to the man, the myth, the legend Settled. I just want to say-
Settled went from being someone I watched occasionally if I had already watched the new Framed,Torvesta,Evscape videos, to becoming easily my favorite content creator for RuneScape. I’ve watched almost every series he’s created and his work ethic and dedication are just insane. We love you Settled, never stop being you man!
Four years ago, I found Settled around 5 episodes before the end of Swampletics, and continued watching him on McTile, all the while knowing that this was a game I really enjoyed as a kid, it was one I hadn't revisted in over a decade in any capacity.
About halfway through McTile, I started playing again -- and kept watching him upload, but to say I was casually approaching the game would be an understatement.
Through my viewings of his videos, my recommended brough me to CEngineer, SoloMission, Framed, and eventually - Soup!
As I consumed more OSRS content on youtube, my interest and enjoyment of the game rose in lock-step.
Now, a lot of my recommended is OSRS, and it's not uncommon for me to have the wiki on my second monitor (even when not playing the game-like now, as I write this comment.) I'm working on my quest cape and am down to my final six quests.
I absolutely loved this season, and the seasons before it -- and while I know this is your channel and not everyone elses --
The community has made me love the game so much more -- and I feel that is a fairly novel thing not only when it comes to communities based around MMOs specifically, but gaming communities as a whole.

Mctile is what got me back into runescape as well. Hadn't touched it since 2012 before that.

I've recommended this series to multiple friends that don't even play RuneScape and they have absolutely loved it. This season had me on edge every episode, cheering out loud at moments. Fantastic work Soup and everyone involved in production, we thank you for providing a great experience for all to enjoy! Can't wait to see what you have in store for next time.

PLEASE, keep GG a yearly series. Absolute beast of a youtube series and the editing is top tier. some of the best assembled content I've seen on youtube ever. I'm so glad i discovered GG this year, I only wish i watched the previous seasons by release. The best RuneScape Contant ever put out thank you so much for making these. I’ve been a huge fan since season one we all appreciate you and everybody that participates and we hope to see many more seasons to come. ❤
This last year has been an emotional rollercoaster for me personally and I had my fair share of dark moments. What I’ve learned while going through it is that it’s important to have something to look forward to, to keep yourself going. For the last couple months, GG has been that for me.

The fact that Settled went up against some of the best in the pit to keep surviving was insane, to then have to go up against Faux and co at the end to win by 1 point is even crazier.
