My favorite cereal is a hot cereal, cinnamon roll porridge. Using rolled oats, plenty of cinnamon, pecans and raisins in the pot, you cook the oats in whole milk according to directions. Off-heat, you lightly sweeten with whatever's hand, whether it's caster sugar, brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup, the top with a knob of room-temperature butter. As the butter melts, it opens up the cinnamon, releasing the scent, and making your porridge taste surprisingly like a cinnamon roll on your spoon.
Okay, for the porridge question, here's what I did for breakfast for a few weeks and it was the best breakfast I've ever made myself in less than 10 mins. Make your porridge (1 part milk, water and oats, heat gently or in the microwave in 30 sec increments if you are busy) then add salt (yes, it's the freaking best!), a bit of cocoa powder (this is game changing), a little bit of honey or demerara sugar (if you have to use sugar) and finally some berries/banana/strawberry/whatever to top it off. If you don't have fresh berries or fruit or you are just as lazy and in a hurry as I usually am, it still tastes amazing without those.
Again... Brilliant ! I loved the pajama's. (and James)... Yet another great way to take a boring food and make it fun... and presented in a Fun way !! You guys are Awesome !!
