Wise words: "Being tough means not having to talk about it all the time."

5 stars and added to favorites!
Excellent interview! I am already making a TH-cam video out of a few clips of this appearance. It was great to see such an extended look at Sen. Obama and I am glad you decided to upload the whole 26+ minutes.
    Thx 4 the video :-)

I remember watching him announce his candidacy for President back in February 2007. I have been following his every step since then, through the primaries, the debates, I remember watching him win the nomination as the democratic nominee; I remember him going head to head with John McCain; I remember watching him win and being sworn in as President. I have followed his tenor in the White House very carefully, up to this very day. And I was convinced early on and still am convinced...GREAT MAN!

Barack- the fact that you don't use a private jet *does* make a difference. It's one of the main reasons i support you. There's not a lot of talk about the small examples of integrity you show, but they say a lot on their own. Thank you.

I am undecided as to how i'll vote in this election, but I deeply respect, admire and appreciate the way that her carries himself and carries out his dialogue in this process. i'm concerned, though, that he's overestimated the general publics' interest in and ability to think through issues in the intelligent and intellectual way that obama does.

Obama has made some beautiful points on religion and politics. I've been a bit jaded in the past because of the negative views of the Pat Robersons and the Jerry Falwells or the world. I am the first to say separate church and state, but when Obama talks about the issue with reason and understanding, recognizing his faith for what it is and knowing the source material, true to what be believes but open to my ideas also, I can't help but respect him even more.

What do you mean?! Every serious journalist, Katie Couric, Mike Wallace, Ed Bradley. They all ask questions in the same manner.

I think you are in agreement with the Obama. You agree that there is "inequality" on the socio-economic front that needs to be resolved. If you heard his answer well, he leans more towards what you are recommending...affirmative action based mainly on socio-economic basis. But don't forget that the "socio" in "socio-economic" includes race. So you and Obama are on the same level

And the reason I'm snapping at the guy is because he's mixing religion and politics. In this particular case it might seem miniscule but religion is a huge player in American politics which is sad and makes me mad.
And what he said was silly.
Politics and religion should NOT mix.

My God, but wouldn't it be nice to listen to this guy for 8 years after 8 years of George!

I'm not spreading hate, i just told him to grow up, you guys are the ones who started whining. Belief doesn't warrant respect, If i believe it's my right to kill someone then you shouldn't respect that for instance. I'm sure you have your own set of beliefs you don't respect, either political, racist or whatever... why should religion receive special treatment? And i respect most Christians... that doesn't mean i have to respect their idiotic religious beliefs though.

unless their religion tells them anti-depressents dont work. or that their friend is going to hell because he's gay, or to blow up a building, or if it contradicts sience and tells us progress is wrong. so, you know, it matters if it's true or not.

Me too. I am so sick and tired of all the flack he is getting for telling the plain truth about the American auto industry at teh Detroit Economic Club speech last week. This country has some serious problems if they object to what he had to say.
    O8AMA!

It's a figure of speech genius, what i mean is that you should get smarter till the point where you realize religion is a hoax, you probably should try learning a little bit about the religion you adhere to before you build your life around the belief... If you did you'd realize it's really stupid.

Obama would be a pretty good prez imo, probably one of the best choices this time around.
