Good show, but may be very hard to watch and canceled very early. I think they only got 9 episodes. Greenwalt loves his voice. This is the beginning of me stopping enjoying the show I once worked on and loved.

If you go back and watch the early seasons of Buffy, you'll pick up on certain things that you brushed off the first time around. Like how often Cordelia comments on Angel's good looks. Because Cordy was a "mean girl" at the time, and Angel was smitten with Buffy, you don't pay the comments any mind. But now that Cordy has become a better person and Angel is single, it's suddenly relevant that Cordy has been thirsting after Angel since BtVS S1E2.
I've already said how good alexis denifof is this season also gotta give a shout out to Julie Bens who is another actor that's incredible this season And on top of that we've got holtz the best angel villain this season is so good

Always glad to see him. And the opening with Angel and Cordelia. Their banter is always funny, and now they are in training, where it is even funnier. 🤣 Then we discover Fred loves plastic flowers! And who doesn't love Fred? The sequence, at 2:55, is hilarious. 😂 Hey - good one! At 4:05, you slip in a quick double entendre! That’s the spirit, Jules! 😜 4:42 - an adamant shake of the head - “No!” You’re having none of this red herringness. ✋ 10:50 - This one continues to surprise, but, she is Darla after all. Never one to exercise restraint with her actions. And then, appropriately enough, Holtz is back in LA. Many things brought to the fore here. The many guesses of what the prophecy is saying, and when the prophesied event is happening (has happened) Who knows? Darla's birth giving - will it happen, a good or bad thing? Is Holtz the event? Is Angel becoming more awkward? Lorne doesn’t seem too concerned - he’s spending monies to get his club back, better than ever, and the Muses don’t seem to have any fears - still mmmm Angeling. 😝 Fred’s Destiny speech is excellent, as are the many Cordelia lines. 🥰 A grand set-up episode, and your outro covered the possibilities, even the ever present W&H (without being present), fairly thoroughly. 🤔 And Keith Szarabajka, great actor, great voice - that closing scene, also special - Herschel Biggs meets up with Vernon Mapes, once again. Tom 🤗💜 I love to hear your thoughts about Holtz!! I've been curious to hear them ever since we started to see more about him. As much as I love Angel, there are many things Angelus did that I can't forgive. What he did to Holtz... I cannot blame Holtz for doing what he's doing. It's truly shocking what happened to him, and it's left him nothing but tormented and broken. It's funny though, the more I watch Buffy and also Angel at times, the more I feel my glass half full attitude slips away 😅 I wonder if one day they will well and truly break my spirit! The guilt trip at the start really didn't land for me. Even when she wasn't a soulless fiend, Darla was participating in a campaign of psychological torment designed to make Angel despair before stripping him of his humanity and for a moment of weakness it worked. Now we're blaming him because Darla suffered the consequences? Maybe it's a case of the show's setting working against the story they were trying to tell but it seems like blaming the victim.
In Offspring we can see Holtz is absolutely relentless in his pursuit of Angelus. Even bringing himself into 21st Century to hunt him down. We can see Darla being driven demented by the pregnancy, and Cordelia and Angel seem to be developing genuine feelings. A great fight scene with Darla and Angel is the children's play area.

Vampires turned Gunn's sister Vampires made Gunn's neighborhood a living hell Vampires were the thing that Gunn hated. Angel is not Gunn's friend, he can never be Gunn's friend... Angel at this point is Gunn's family it's why he went againts his crew, its why he got in the car to Pylea. Gun has to be the first one to attack Angelus if he goes wrong at this point, he has to give Wesly enough time, he can't be Angel's friend, that would mean mercy has to be at the forefront, want Angel needs is someone who love him enough to put him down. Sorry this is my second favorite television show of all time.... hahaha, I may read a little bit more into it, but I am good with that... hahaha.... cool if you don't agree, just my humble opinion.
Sorry but Cordelia's reaction to the situation with Darla is dumb. This is some of Joss' writing that bothers me. Like when Xander called out Angel in Season 2 and in his season 3 return. He has this way of making guys the bad guy. I don't believe for a second this is how Cordy would react to it.
I think Cordy is mostly pissed off that Angel lied to her. We all know it takes two to tango, but if one of the two lies and the other tells the truth, the one who lied takes the blame.
