It depends on whether you are making a cup of tea or a pot of tea. If you are making a cup of tea with a tea bag then the order is tea followed by milk but if you are preparing a pot of tea using loose leaves then the order is milk followed by tea.

I think policeman shouldn’t be a sex thing as you don’t call females huwoman instead of human. Ive always associated policeman as either sex.
Originally a men's job, hence the sexist language.
Bad etymology. The word human came from Latin and didn’t have anything to do with English “man”. Policeman is a compound noun hence the existence of “policewoman”.
