Hey Moorea, I am glad I found you. Thanks for adding me to your FB group. I just started with OCF and I am soaking in all the information I can. I have 4 AD200 Pro's, the V860 II Speedlight, the X2TC trigger and the MagMod system with modifiers too. I use a Canon 1Dx Mk II and Canon 7Dx Mk II. I come from the Action Photography side of shooting so OCF and Portraits are new to me. Learning every day. I love to see what others have done with the Godox equipment and the MagMod equipment. I love the BTS and Camera Settings so keep this up. Love it. I just watched your HSS video. OMG, this will open up so much more for me. Before knowing this, I wondered this past few months, why couldn't I get past 1/200 SS on my Flash settings. Thanks again and I look forward to watching all of your videos. BTW, last XMas through Jan. 5th of this year, we rented a house on Maui for 7 days. Wow, beautiful island. Have a great day.

I've been using a Godox tt685n for the past several years, and absolutely loved it, but now that I've grown more familiar & comfortable with off camera flash, I'm ready to upgrade my lighting system to something more advanced like the AD200 Pro. The only thing that was holding me back was not knowing if it was compatible with the MagMod flash system I already own, but this video just answered that question...... and I just purchased the AD200 Pro at a GREAT PRICE on eBay for $199 + $8.00 shipping (open box/brand new, was only used for in-store demonstrations) 😊👍👍. #ThanksMoorea! #YouRock!

Do you have to get separate Magmod gear for speedlights and the ad200? I have a couple of speedlights, and I want to purchase the Godox ad 200, but I am hoping I do not have to buy separate Magmod gear to fit the ad200. Will it fit both the speedlight and ad200 the same?
No, I only use the two mag grips that came with my kit and that's plenty for me. The Godox ad200 is a little bit bigger than the speedlights so I warm up the maggrips with the blow-drier and it makes the application to the Godox much easier. I hope this helped :)
Hi a question, what did you have the white balance set to when taking the beach scenes and did you use a blue filter to increase the kelvin. Many thanks
I cant remember off the top of my head but I dont think i used any gels for this. Kelvin was most likely set to a normal range for flash. Sorry I wish I could remember!
6:20 But why use a grid, let alone stack two grids AND use a diffuser sphere? Those two cancel each other out. You tell the grid to narrow the beam of light, but you put on a diffuser sphere to spread the light. It makes no sense. You wast sooo much power and recycling time by doing this. The fall off softening of the grid is also canceled, because there is another modifier on your flash. It's obviously always the last modifier between your flash and your subject that has the actual visible effect on your lightning. With the exception of color gels of course.
I suppose everyone just has their on style of the way they like it. I personally like the grid and speed combo and I know a lot of other who also enjoy it too. Thank for watching 😊

Typically I just use the mag grid and sphere, no soft box unless it’s indoors/studio work
