Born in the 80s doesnt help you to experience them. I was born in 87 and missed all this. Youd need to be born in about 72 or 73 to really get a feel for the 80s and come of age in the 90s. Great decades for sure. I was their ages in the early 00s.
If you were born from 1980-1983 you would remember some of the 80's like the late 80's. You would be between the ages 9 to 6 years old by 1989. I was born in 1982 and I was 7 years old in 1989. I remember mid-late 80's.
I was born WAY before that era, like 68, and trust me kids the 70s sucked.... Microwave ovens didn’t come out Till like the mid 70s no cable TV we only had five channels via in Antenna... The only thing you had like in the 60s may be in the 50s as well was just landline telephone, a car with just old school radio, tv with just five channels as we just got... But then again the upside there were board games of every kind if you went to the toy store that’s where you found all your fun things that I can’t even list off the bat nothing Eletronic, zero! And when the 80s rolled around things got more interesting👍👍😎 90s same thing and the rest well you can see that you were born then Ha ha
Imagine if their mom would’ve gotten mad and stopped them filming right there and then? So glad she was supportive of her kiddo’s and allowed them to have fun with a recorder. Thanks mom.
I was born in 1979 so I grew up in the mid 80s-mid late 90s. I would give anything to go back! If I had one wish, it would be to relive 1985-1996 over and over again (those years to me was special), not as an adult but as I was back then, a kid and teenager. Words cannot describe how awsome that time was. I never wanted to grow up!😄

‘89 was kind of a bittersweet year for me. I was 24 and you could tell the era was coming to an end. You could already feel the scene starting to die and sadly so were a lot of other things in my personal life at the time. What a fun decade that was, though. I really, really miss it. Thanks for having the presence of mind to chronicle “a day in the life” from back then. Circumstances caused me to become separated from a lot of my own pictures and videos from that period so it’s cool to be able to walk down memory lane through someone else’s experiences.
J Ramirez The metal scene. Between around ‘89-‘92 you could see interest in big hair, over the top metal music starting to die off and stuff like grunge, shoe gaze and post-punk start taking over.

The dude in the Motley Crue shirt he’s cool asf and I’m thinking the one in striped shirt is the mom. You can tell she’s looking at them like “yo turn the camera off and eat please”
I miss these McDonalds prices. A Big Mac was $1.65! I love how their mother wore kitten heels to a fast food restaurant. What a hit of dopamine straight to the heart. 💜 The fries were the best back then too when they fried them in beef talo. I would gladly pay to catch a ride back to the 80s/90s again any day. What a time to be alive! People looked put together in public, even if just running to the store. Everyone was friendly for the most part and much more social than we are today.
I’m 38 and I remember the feeling of being driven in the back of those 80s cars, those McDonald’s cups and generally what it felt like to live in a world that had a sense of mystery behind things. A magical time
Me too, I was born in 1982 and I remember McDonalds in the late 80s with the cups and bags with the MMMMMMMMMMMMMs all around it and the styrofoam containers the Mcnuggets came in, 1988-89 era.

I have no idea why TH-cam recommended this to me, but it was absolutely epic. These guys are the OG vloggers. The Motley Crue and Metallica tshirts, Huntsville, AL, the Volvo station wagon, the 80’s mom, the original Sam’s Club they passed, the McDonald’s employee was actually friendly, got that hamburger jail deal on the outdoor playground, talking about Bill and Ted on the way home. This video is all around epic.

NY and LA had massive problems, but many places were flourishing.
Ironclaw XII However, I do not apreciate being called an idiot over a differing opinion - Yet another reason the 80s were awesome, no aggressive keyboard warriors.

I was in 7th grade and can’t help of thinking that if I could jump through this screen and go back I would.. Many friends and family are still alive on that other side.
The simplicity of life is so relaxing to be able to relive through a video... 80s were amazing but I am grateful for the internet otherwise i wouldn't be able to watch stuff like this

Quesa Dilla it’s a great business idea for an entrepreneur who had money to invest or can get investors. With the large millennial and Generations x and z who yearn for nostalgia it could be a lucrative business.
It sadly does. I understand that everybody misses when they were a kid. My girls have definitely had good times and there was a little bit of times that were like old days around here before they all got their phones in the neighborhood. However, since about 9:11 to me 2000s have been very weird. It's just something is going on and everyone can basically feel it
Wine Crimes Food and Time - Yes. 9/11 was a huge turning point. But you hit the nail on the head - I do believe a lot of it has to do with phones, social media. I feel like it changed the dynamic/communication/socialization among people.....but not in a good way. We have all become less empathetic, impatient and cruel due to these stupid machines. And the world became smaller once we got everything at our fingertips, giving us a false sense that “we know everything.”
People who grew up in the 40s and 50s probably thought the 80s sucked. You only think its the best cause thats when you grew up and things are different now
You could never let a kid born after 2000 into a restaurant with a camera and be so respectful of others and mom. I’m only 30 but it’s insane the difference in how kids acted back then vs now. Love these videos
I was in my mid 20's during this time period, and working at McDonald's. I recognized everything on that menu board, the cookies. The burgers were so much better then too.
Although I was too late for the 80s having only been born in 1994 and growing up in the 2000s, watching and seeing this old footage still very much captures the essence of those times! I mean we still used camcorders, vcr players, video tapes, cassettes back then, the early 2000s were no different from the 80s except technology was just slightly more advanced and abit better but still the same!
I only had one guy so far, who was like that in 2008, but I did nothing illegal. He decided to suspect I was spying on him, when I didn't even film a tiny bit of him! And he had the nerve to be the criminal, by trespassing. By crossing Main St. to the front of where I lived. I did nothing illegal. I didn't commit copyright infringement either. I wasn't at a movie theater or at an NFL game, FGS!
@@niffuM4205 That's one of the reasons. Tensions between America and Russia were still high back then, people weren't as educated in sexualities, disorders, and racial inequality back then, and global warming was not as big of a problem as it is now. This is just off the top of my head, the world was never perfect and it never will be. Most of the people who grew up in this era would think it's the best times, because they were children then. Nostalgia is a strong emotion.

The 80’s didn’t fully die till 91-92, but yeah the scene was beginning to end.
J Ramirez The metal scene. Between around ‘89-‘92 you could see interest in big hair, over the top metal music starting to die off and stuff like grunge, shoe gaze and post-punk start taking over.

I miss these McDonalds prices. A Big Mac was $1.65! I love how their mother wore kitten heels to a fast food restaurant. What a time to be alive! People looked put together in public, even if just running to the store. Everyone was friendly for the most part and much more social than we are today.
Large fries was $1.03 and large soda $1, so Big Mac large fries and soda was $3.78. Today it's like $12
That's because the food was grilled and not full of extra ingredients to cut cost. I forgot when they stopped grilling the food.
