I binged through the first 2 seasons quickly once I started watching The Righteous Gemstones. It's a unique and hilarious show. I got my bf interested while watching the last episode of S3 that aired. 😂 Now I'll have someone to watch it with.
Yeah mang, that kid who plays Jessie as a young man is completely channeling Danny. He deserves an award. Some of the best impressions and acting I’ve seen in a LONG time.
You shouldn't go into S3 expecting it to be as laugh out loud funny as S1, it's almost like a comedy drama at this point. If you actually look at it for what it is, and adjust your expectations, you'll see how fucking brilliant it is. Loved it.
It truly is a roller coaster of emotions in every episode. It’s hilariously comedic, but at the same time it’s dramatic like a Lifetime movie then it’s a crazy action film then they’ve wrapped it up like a sweet Disney flick.
I just wish they would have asked Goodman to yell “Do you see what happens, Larry!?” I have had a page with that video on my phone for like 2 years and I watch it.. religiously.
He’s the underdog trying to make it, and I can relate to that character. You’re fighting the dark and trying to embrace the light. We all have that yin and Yang stuff going on.
For us it's a super cool super funny thing with the cast, for him it's another media obligation. Dudes been around forever, I'm sure his work feels like work at this point. He definitely made a few jokes and tried to play along but I think the lack of audience reaction made it seem like he wasn't having a good time. Saying they lifted "scrape the white stuff out of your coochie" from Shakespeare is a great example lmao. He may just have a more dry sense of humor.
S3E4 is the best episode theyve done since season 1. They have their seasonal pacing down pat. Cant wait to see what is coming after the Interlude...and Im looking forward to the interlude
