Not really. There have been lots of anthems used by Russia over the centuries. The God Save the King tune was one of them.
@@sircurtisseretse3297 That's not the reason, it is diplomatic courtesy to satule the national anthem of the visiting delegation. Such protocol goes back centuries and millennia, long before Russia and Britain were even an idea.

the UK & SU signed 20-years long Trade Agreement for 1942-1962 and now they added some articles. After the death of king George in 1952, the UK broke the T.A. unilateraly. There was a Perspective plan of Industrialisation of all SU's regions for 1943-1963 - evidently it was connected with the Anglo-Soviet trade deal. It's a big secret after Stalin's death in the country. I read about it in his 1947's book - about the Great Victory. I heard that after that Stalin-made war-time concieved perspective plan was completed - the Soviet Union was doomed, the decline was sudden and quite lethal - for the first time there was a falling down demography, the divorces sky-rocketed by 4 times in ONE SINGLE YEAR 1964. The Soviet PARTEI NOMENKLATUR (which happens to be a German word) & Ministers - were IRRETRIEVABLY DUMB. I can't help assessing that the Soviet Union was to be in decline from that time. Then, in 1968, came [flew] the vultures, Rochefeuille Banksters {the Rockafellers}
