      Get the Hinson Momentum steel clutch basket. Works the same as a regular clutch, but also feels like a flywheel weight. Steahly sell them, as do quite a few vendors. I put one in my CRF450x, and I love it. Plus, it will never get those annoying notched wear marks from your clutch plates. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it, and can't fall off lol. Also, you could try a local engineering form to drill out your Steahly weight, and make a new high tensile steel threaded insert. I'd go the Hinson though. Reliable.

    Awesome way to make people hate dirt bikes and close riding areas is ride like that on the street 👍

    I'm wondering if Loctite would have helped it from loosening up ? You were having so much fun before tragedy struck . That sucks !!! Thank you for the video and your comments .

      The instrictions said not to use loctite but it sure would have helped this. Definitely was, but bike is all good and still running better than ever

    She sounds really good but a little lower pitch, but I think the shaking really is what busted the weight. Hopefully you don’t have to rebuild the engine to fix it

    Need some red or green loctite on that and torque it a bit extra

    • @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ
      @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that could be true. I decided it is better to just go back to stock and never have problems

    the weight could be more usable if it had some for of grubb screws that fastened it more to the standard flywheel.

    • @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ
      @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely, but the best option is a complete flywheel with weight integrated in it. But they don't exist for my bike.

      @@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ or if the weight is bolted to the flywheel as i seen on other dirt bikes before.

    Yeah thanks for the last bit dude! I cracked some ribs again 2 days ago n the shitshot just killed when i laughed!
    I reckon theres not enough thread on the crank to hold that weight in place, the changes in revs is shocking it loose. It needs pinning to the original flywheel or ideally the crank end needs extending.

    • @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ
      @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I just don't trust this flywheel weight design. I would only use one if it was a complete flywheel replacement like the YZ250x flywheel. Hope you heal up fast man! Ribs are not fun.

    I put that weight on my 03 cr250. When I turned it on the threads it went tight like yours did, but for some reason I had a feeling it didn't go all the way. I took it back off to find the threads on the weight had rough edges and were not allowing it to screw all the way home. After cleaning up the threads it's went on nearly 2 more whole turns. I'm wondering if that was the case with yours.

    • @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ
      @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a very good point, I imagine that could've been the problem. My flywheel threads are ruined now anyways so it will never be an option anymore lol

    • @Davidwhat
      @Davidwhat ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ probably only the beginning few threads are bad. you could get a die the correct size and fix them enough to work again.

    Great video the enthusiasm is great but was this a fair parts review? not exactly seeing as to where this would be so much the parts fault as it was lack of following instructions? Recheck torque within 30min of first ride? You took off and it's pretty sunny out and it's noticeably darker when you had the issue? You took off went alil ways Busted a.U turn im thinking your going back to check torque and keep riding. And someone else commented on burs on threads stopping it from going on all the way When you go back to finishing the torque there's a quick glimpse(@ 7min 56sec) of the nut and there's alot.of thread still visible on that nut that shouldn't be visible. The Grinding on the cover was the warning it wasn't on all the way.. just had seeing products get dumped on when the product isn't at fault.
