What? No mention of Tania? Surely she could have been with BJ to meet Tony after all she was the love of Tony's life and BJ's mother. I lost it when Tony mentioned that people leave for school and never come back. I wish they would have had a tribute to him like they did Amy and Jessie at the 2013 Nurse's Ball
Patricia Brower correct, but MsMagicAmerica they had some kind of tacky fundraiser in Tony's name, hosted by Carly, of all people. If memory serves, it was a hook-up dance where ladies claim the man they want.

Why can't they write powerful scenes like this anymore? I mean, over 15 minutes and it doesn't get tired. Nowadays we get more like 2 minute throwaway scenes that aren't even worth that long.
Great actors. Brad Maule is so talented and Jacklyn ZEMAN superb as always 💕
I was so sad when Tony died.
so was I
One of the best death scenes on GH hands down
Along with Dominique, BJ, and Jagger. :'(
and Tania as well, so sad!
Cynthia Mitchell And Stone.
And Edward walking with Lila up the stairs to heaven
@@jlo101310 jagger died?
Awwww 🥰. I loved him! Tony died knowing Luke had his family’s back. Losing BJ left Bobbi and Tony devastated. I’m crying my eyes out... 😭😭😭😭. Bobbi didn’t cry much here OR when BJ died. 🤷♀️
Hard to cry, when your face is full of plastic!😒
Texas, LOL, I noticed that about Bobbie too.
Its like this episode can see 15 years into the future. This is getting spooky.
One of the saddest scenes ever.
I still cry and never understood why they killed him off. So glad he had a dream cameo recently.
The actor requested his character of tony be killed off
me too
Also, I always hated that damned Carly put the nail into the Bobbie-Tony marriage coffin. So nice to see them together here...
truth
all those years ago i missed this episode.. and in those days there was no Internet or Repeats of shows.. so I finally got to see it.. wow, what an episode. such an emotional episode of someone facing death so bravely with such dignity and honor.
This was during the era in which JFP was clearing house and replacing everyone with her old friends and people that would work with her.
This scene is so heartbreaking
Wowww I had forgotten what a great scene this was ❤😥 so so real. Great actors🥺🥺
How did he die?
Frisco should have been there for Bobbi, & Lucas. Bobbi was his sister-in-law, & Lucas is his nephew. Frisco should have been there for them. At least they had Luke.
Yes,I can't believe that they had Tony die without having said goodbye to Frisco & Felicia......they were awesome together..
I had never seen this before & am crying....
@@joanfrench7393they didnt ask him to return i bet
I lost my father to the virus and this episode which I remember well just had a new meaning to me. I balled my eyes out!
I'm sorry. God bless you.
"Bawled"... not "balled"
General was sooooo great back then. Great acting awesome
This missed one important point, they could have mentioned Tania and that they were gonna all be together. Tania is BJ's biological mother and Tony's late wife.
This was right around the time General Hospital start to suck when they started killing off all the good characters for these new characters that brought nothing to the show . Rest in peace Tony, Courtney Alan, Emily, Geogie extmlm
They should have let Bobbie and Tony get back together before they let him go. They were so good together. I cried at the end. They deserved to be happy together at the end. I will miss them both.
Contrary to some of these comments, he didn’t choose to leave GH. They let him go, he told us. I’m one of his students
Amazing
Really? Thanks whiskerjuice. But I did/do hate how the show had become and part of me is glad he is off of there. I hope he dislikes how the show has become, too. Are you still one of his students?
thank you. if you ever see him again, please tell him, i loved his radio shows and hope he comes back to doing them :)
I have never seen this TV show ever but I know how it feels to lose someone.
I didn't watch during this time period but omg this scene 😭😭🤧🤧🤧
General Hospital really knows how to tug at the heartstrings! :(
True but Amy and Jessie really died. Brad (Tony), is still alive.
Patricia Brower correct, but MsMagicAmerica they had some kind of tacky fundraiser in Tony's name, hosted by Carly, of all people. If memory serves, it was a hook-up dance where ladies claim the man they want.
I loved Tanya
Brad maule deserved an OSCAR for this performance
you mean an emmy......but an oscar would be nice too :)
He's teaching drama in Texas.
@@Granny1375 im happy he's still there. i really miss his days when he did his radio shows on ksfa
Brad Maule is a great actor She does not seem as sad as Luke as Lucas do.
lol, I noticed that too.
She knows he's with BJ...
Tony was my mother's last straw....after he had suffered like his third head injury...my mother stood up and said..."I'm done with General Hospital...I can not watch them hurt Tony anymore!" ...She stopped watch and when I told her a few years later that they had killed Tony off...she nodded...said..."mmhhhmm....I'm not surprised..... They never did him justice..." She had watch GH from its beginning!
Njae2000 That's really funny. I always liked Tony too. I started watching in 1981 and watched up until the mid to late 90's then very sporadically after that. I missed when Tony died.
God bless your mother, Njae2000. I said the same thing.
Njae2000 Tony and Frisco were always two of my favorites. I loved them as brothers and as part of the show. I hated what they did to the show in the late 90’s and on.
well i was always curious to say what would happen to tony next. but i agree with your mom. they really SCREWED him up way too many times. and after he went crazy and kidnapped baby michael, and then after they let him go for a year in 1999, i quit watching it altogether. and then when he came back a year later, and this is all according to wikipedia btw, they gave him less screen time, and the story lines that did involve him were really stupid, like bringing back stavros cassadine from "the dead"
On the bright side, we'll see Lucas soon a new doctor at GH! Hopefully this will lead to a ghostly visit from Tony ala Alan Quartermaine !
Goodbye Barbara Jean, now you live with Tony and BJ in heaven RIP Jackie Z. May 2023.
Im tearing up i love Tony!! Yes frisco and felicia too
me too
Back in the day GH really had it right... today's GH really sucks.... please GH bring the cast back to life!!! Don't let GH die and go off the air.... please 😖
Agreed.
I fully agree
Agree!! I didn’t like Tony after he had kicked Bobbie out but his performance was incredible
GH started going down the tube when "Sony" came on the show, and when Jason got amnesia and became an outlaw. Never made sense to me and I slowly stopped watching after that. The story line weren't interesting at all. Haven't watched GH in a very long time.
@@2010pinmaster so many viewers share your opinion
Did Brad Maule ever win an Emmy?? Good Lord between BJ's death, & this scene, he should've won a few!!
this is so sad.....thank you very much for posting this........this was brad maule's BEST performance......how dare bobbie try to stop tony from sharing his final words...this scene really made me cry......thank you brad for all those years of being on gh.......does anyone have the clip of lucas telling tony he's gay?
typical Bobbie trying to shut Tony up until his dying breath.
I disagree. I think she was in denial. In her mind She wasn’t going to let him die. And saying goodbye was probably like giving him permission.
I think this was a very close second of Brad's scenes, my absolute favorite was when he said goodbye to BJ (remember watching that scene, just now watched this scene for the first time).😭
I watched my brother die it looked almost like this heartbreaking.
I'm so sorry
What an incredible cast this was
that was so sad about tony dies on gh.he was good tv too.
I agree
Back when folks could act. I miss this GH
