Ver has more of an ambiguous element into it, hence, the aesthetic mv haha. I do agree that the kor. Sarodja Govindin regardless of it being a demo, it had the potential of becoming a hit in the us. let’s be honest, had they kept the rights to 4 walls, this song would have probably done well in the charts and with the overall pop culture of the us

So many producers have no interest in releasing things for themselves. They enjoy the stability of a regularly paying job that doesn’t hinge on public approval of their personalities. They don’t have to worry about the lack of privacy and constant backlash that comes with fame. They simply enjoy making music and know they’re good at it and want to get paid for their work, they don’t want to go on exhausting world tours or be hypervisible public figures. Producing is an entirely different art form from performing. Just like there are people who would rather be music teachers than singers, there are people who would rather be producers than celebrities. Not everyone wants some big grand life in the public eye, many people just want a calm job they enjoy doing.

Hate to admit it but I like this better than f(x) version. 😭 like there’s just this vibe they give to it. Black people really have influenced so much of kpop.
These guys shoulda kept the song. They would've made it big and become huge. Though, with a record this big it could easily overshadow them as artists. I can also see Justin Bieber releasing it with the lyrics tweaked here and there. Anyway, glad f(x) released it, but I would really like it if they ever released an English version. They did record the song in Japanese after all.... I'm sure it'd be a piece of cake for Krystal and Amber to write English lyrics.
Producers and songwriters probably make more (guaranteed) money by sending the song to a big company. It was a choice between them releasing the song on their own, as relatively unknown artists, and hoping it made it big; or giving it to SM so they could use it for an idol group with a guaranteed fanbase.
This demo gave me another reason to love Adrian McKinnon and Tay Jasper. And seriously, did we need another? I love these guys! Thank you for contributing so much to kpop and SM music. There is till date no song in which Adrian has participated that I didn't like( most of them are my favourites) Shout-out to Umu from ReacttotheK for interviewing these guys and helping us to know about them!

This song is such a masterpiece, even as a demo. Feels like it would have been a hit with these guys and the right promotion, but I'm glad f(x) got it, being one of the most artistic kpop groups and probably the best one to handle it

The song was never theirs as it happens. Composed at SM by LDN for f(x) and these guys (Tay & Adrian) wrote and sang the lyrics as a melody guide for f(x) :)
Hate to admit it but I like this better than f(x) version. 😭 like there’s just this vibe they give to it. Black people really have influenced so much of kpop.
These guys shoulda kept the song. They would've made it big and become huge. Though, with a record this big it could easily overshadow them as artists. I can also see Justin Bieber releasing it with the lyrics tweaked here and there. Anyway, glad f(x) released it, but I would really like it if they ever released an English version. They did record the song in Japanese after all.... I'm sure it'd be a piece of cake for Krystal and Amber to write English lyrics.

Producers and songwriters probably make more (guaranteed) money by sending the song to a big company.
It was a choice between them releasing the song on their own, as relatively unknown artists, and hoping it made it big; or giving it to SM so they could use it for an idol group with a guaranteed fanbase.
