  • I'm installing a new 6 acre lawn and I had to bring in something different to get all of it graded out. A Kubota L4740 and 8' pull type grader box are just what the doctor ordered!

@@schafferlukeAgreed. I think if you quoted both of these jobs they'd probably end up in the same ballpark.
Neil has an amazing equipment setup for a DIY guy but if this was his full time gig he'd probably have some larger stuff and employees to take on a job this big too. He's just being resourceful/solo labor intensive and making it work.
For John, it's just his regular business.

Neil, my grandfather bought an AC WD-45 brand new in 1953 and all of my siblings and I learned to drive it as kids. It also had a very loud gear whine in second gear, which we were in to go to and from the woods hauling firewood. We sold that tractor in 2003, so it was in the family for 50 years. Lots of fond memories on that tractor, which still has the original battery terminals and cables on it when it was sold. It’s neat that you have the space to keep it around.

That old family generational AC needs a patina kit to keep it from getting worse. Basically wash and scrub to clean and then a clear coat to protect it in the future. I do believe they now have water based clear coats that last years. It does not change the old paint but protects against further rust and corrosion.
