Tornadoes In Chicago suburbs

A severe weather situation west of Chicago, where a tornado watch was in effect on a Tuesday evening. In the area north of Mendota, IL, notably near Sublette, a tornado warning was issued as multiple storms intensified, one of which produced a visible funnel cloud that extended halfway to the ground before vanishing. Observations of the storm’s formation, lightning, and hail ranging in size from a quarter to a softball littering the road.
