    Best Kemper related vid I’ve seen(I’ve had one for five years), simply because the guy can play and play and play. Fantastic.

    17:44 "I'm not a jazz guy" Ruben then proceeds to throw down thick jazz voicing chords in our face. :-)

    I am going to purchase the Kemper this year and I will use my ENGL Cab. And I will take my sweet time to get my 90s Grunge / Hardrock / Stoner Sounds. Since I play in a 90s Grunge, Hardrock and Stoner Rock Coverband, I will need the sounds in order to deliver :)

    I just purchased a Kemper, so it's the first time I've heard your playing Ruben, and MAN... you do a GREAT job showing these off the best of these profiles. I will have to spend a lot of time improving my technique and feel after watching you! In your opinion, how important is it to have a good guitar/pickup combination when using these units?
    I really hope you have a lucrative musical career right now, because your playing ROCKS, and more people should be able to experience it. Thanks for taking the time to show us these profiles. :)

    • @RubenRoeh
      @RubenRoeh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The degree to which the guitar/pickups are a relevant factor actually speaks to the quality of “these units”. If it’s irrelevant, it means the unit is not translating the nuances of your instrument properly. Fortunately, the Kemper is, so it is important. Also, thank you for your kind words! :)

    Hey @Ruben Roeh what pick ups do you have in that tele? I have the same kemper patch and I don't get that awesome pick attach i.e. when you do that palm mute at 2:44-2:46. Your pups are possibly hotter than mine with more clarity. Can you share your pups please?

    • @RubenRoeh
      @RubenRoeh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m pretty sure there’s a Haeussel Broadcaster in the bridge position. As far as classic Tele pups go, it’s definitely on the warmer/hotter side.

    Love your tasty guitar playing.
    Just a couple of questions for you:
    - do you typically disable the compression and effects on the mbritt presets?
    - what is the brand/model of the stand you use for your Kemper, and how stable is it?
    Cheers

      for nearfileds in the studio, well, there is huge market ... we like Adam A7 and also the new focal alpha 50 (which have more low end) we can also recommend mackie, behringer even :-) or krk.

    No matter what profiles I hear there's always this "Kemper Sound" that seems to come with it. A harsh top end. It's certainly worthwhile if you live in an apartment and can't mic amps but I would never use my Kemper if it weren't for that reason and that reason only.

    Man I get so tired of preset salesman. If you spend almost 2 grand on a unit i can't swallow having to pay for presets(Rigs) on top of it. You can get just as good rigs off the kemper site for nothing which is the way it should be. MB is over hyped and over rated. This guy is a good player but these tones are common. Not that inspiring if you ask me. The truth also is on any demo you hear if you don't have the exact same guitar+audio interface setup, it ain't gonna sound the same anyway. Learn to tweak what you have instead of being lazy and thinking if someone else did it for you it will sound that way. It wont. Thats the "Preset" lie you gotta wake up to. I love my kemper for what it is, but I can also spend $159.00 on Neural DSP Archtype Gojira and completely put this to shame for a hell of a lot less.

      No, I'd say it is a thin TELE sound - single coil nastiness, particularly on the distortion sounds. Switching to, say, a Les Paul would address that for those profiles.

      @Yuri Ninkovic Ahh, you again
      Well there is you and then there are thousands of players of all genres, from small bands up to the top performers, using the Kemper for great sounding live performances and studio albums. Getting the sound the player/band want out of the device is one of the strong reasons for using the Kemper.. so what do you know
