The writers have already stated they dislike the character Tory, so they will do anything to make her a villain. I get where she’s coming from from a plot perspective, but obviously from a watcher’s perspective she’s making a terrible decision going to a guy who will treat her like Johnny and use her mom’s death to gaslight her
@@twes003I have never seen the show writers state they dislike the character of Tory in the least but quite the opposite; they like writing for her character , giving her the obstacles they do to enhance her overall character development. She’s not a villain and I GUARANTEE that she doesn’t end this way.
Johnny was right. The Larusos r incredibly biased as parents, he understood the need for Tory to fight, he's not lying about Mr Miyagi, and Daniel always has to be in control. Ppl forget jist how honest Johnny has been this entire series
The writers conveniently had Amanda present at the fight so she could get the phone call, when she usually doesn't get involved in what they do at the dojo
Daniel was never portrayed to be perfect. He was always flawed, even in the movies. He does try to follow Mr. Miyagi's ideals but he's not Mr. Miyagi and has always been hot-headed but he's a good, upstanding guy at the end of the day. He has been a good friend to Johnny this season giving him good advice, let him have a job at his business even when he never offered him one. Of course, both he and Johnny have gone back and forth in their friction, and both have been biased and childish. Daniel and Amanda were both in the right regarding Tory fighting, she wasn't in the right of mind and Johnny didn't help matters. Daniel was wrong to hit Johnny, but Johnny was wrong for insulting Mr. Miyagi after what Amanda told him. Daniel did apologize and Johnny did show strength not to hit back but he's started a lot of fist fights in the past and knows Daniel was still dealing Mr. Miyagi's past so I think he could give him a pass. I do believe they will patch things up in part 2.
- I think this was a good part. I don't agree with how it's being aired, though. If Netflix wanted to space it out, they could have had part two be in early fall (either mid September, or the first week of October). And then, close out in December with part three. That way, it won't be too spaced out and they wouldn't risk too much of the hype dying down. - Tory joining CK could've possibly been avoided if someone went after her. Maybe (and hopefully) in part two, it'll be revealed that a lot of people from the dojo tried. But, she just pushed them away. It feels out of character for her to not receive any sort of comfort when Amanda helped her in S4, Robby is her boyfriend, and both Devon and Johnny understand what she's going through. But other than that, Troy's really just fighting for her mom in the way that she wants to (being female team captain to win the glory and champion title in honor of her). I doubt she willingly joined CK again outside of that.
When Kwon destroys miyagi do then Daniel will come around to Johnny's training plus he may find out from the scrolls that miyagi also did more aggressive style in order to win his tournament. Silver and Kenny are gonna burn miyagi do down while they are away plus attack the students. Barnes will come to help them and try and get his silver revenge
You also have to remember Kreese told Tori that Daniel would always pick Sam over her and that was confirmed for Tori when Daniel ended the fight between her. Tori also yelled at Daniel stating its only because Sam is her daughter
I can accept that Robby got his own for a winner takes all match but it looks like he’s going to lose focus now that the big promise of him and Tory being there together has been broken.
Technically they can still both be on the podium together if they each win their individual contests. They do not have to be on the same team for that.
Am I the only one wondering how is Kreese able to travel? From L.A to South Korea and vice versa and then finally to Spain. Who is paying for these flights😅
Honestly Daniel was extremely unlikeable this season. Even if Johnny stepped out of line by calling Miyagi a “liar and a thief” (After all, Miyagi saved his life so badmouthing him like that is very disrespectful) he’s right that Daniel’s whole life revolves around Miyagi. We already saw in S3, he really struggles without Miyagi and returns to his hot-headed ways a ton of times. I understand that Miyagi made Daniel a better man and was his father figure, but Daniel seems to have no identity outside of that. Amanda tries to keep him sane, but he even now started backtalking to her despite her always being the reasonable one
Daniel's also being hypocritical. Every time they unite, it seems like he's the one being unwilling to commit to it (Terry Silver was more so understandable at the time, but still is damaging considering that they could've won the All-Valley in S4 had they stuck together). Johnny struggles, but he still tries to learn and apply Miyagi-Do without compromising his methods to do so. To me, I think Daniel (despite meaning well and not completely being wrong) is the bigger reason why their team up isn't working as well as it could and should be.
I disagree, there were few times he was the voice of reason and gave Johnny good advice. He was totally right that Tory wasn't in good state of mind to fight and I thought Johnny was a jerk in that scene and out of line for what he said about Mr. Miyagi. Johnny also seems to have regressed a bit this season even calling Daniel just a car salesman and not a real sensei even though are now partners 50/50.
That’s messed up for the writers to make Tory a Cobra Kai again and allying with the same female sensei that made her broke her hand as torture.

Ugh, that was such a hard scene to watch.
Nah shes a cobra kai she would never really fit in at miyagi do
We will probably see how that worked out in a flashback though, she of course doesn't also didn't know that Kreese was with her when he reached out.

I think Kenny and his brother gonna be 5th & 6th on kreese team

Googe point, something I idnd't comment on, but I think you may be right!

@Dean-v2s me too.
@Dean-v2s Johnny can be just stubborn.
Someone did have a theory what if Amanda and Daniel took in Tory and her brother Brandon as their own even though I hate Daniel
