I had never an idea, that India has so many beautiful and interesting faces, Milosh showed here the last weeks. My eyes now are more opened, India is also a wonderful country. AndreasAC Because western media will always potray India in poor light. They will never talk about the outstanding UNESCO world Heritage sites. They will show Taj Mahal and then filthy places. Trust me u will not find countries like India in d world with such diverse landscapes. Desert, Himalayas, Royal heritage, coast line, lakes, wild life sanctuary, temples, forts etc.
India has a very rich history. It is as old as Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, etc. and it's architecture reflect it's evolution over the course of time, both good and bad. Too bad much of the history is neglected. But there is a surge of cultural revivalism in India with more attention now given to its' history. Hopefully high production videos such as these creates a genuine interest amongst romantics across all disciplines. And India should learn from China how to maintain it's heritage

What a magnificent site, I am always fascinated with the complexity of Indian architecture. Great timing as well, I am uploading a video so I needed something to watch while it was being done.
Was there in early Jan 1974. Stayed in a dharamshala for 2 rupees a night (slept on charpois). That was the only accommodation available as far as we could ascertain. Took 11 hrs by steam train from Jodhpur. It was an unreal experience.

My Rajasthan , there are many many forts in Rajasthan on Mountains ,u can find minor forts every 5-10 km on hills. I love to visit them especially those that are not so famous so that i can observe it well . How our kings lived how our people lived.
This city has lots of Sindhis( Hindus) including Muslim Sindhi people. Sindh & Rajasthan have bit similar culture. But current Sindh of Pakistan has lost its culture to Pathan culture.
Yes ancient Indian cities were always fortified. Like a jewel sitting in the lap of the castle. To protect it from invaders, hindu kings had it built that way.
According to a legend or myth - Krishna and Bhima visited this place and Krishna told Bhima that one of his descendants will establish a city here. And that descendent was the King Rawal Jaisal a Yaduvanshi Rajput.

Went to Jaisalmer 4 years back. Loved the architecture, specially Jain temples. All these places depicts India's once unimaginable wealth.

Yes, you are right, many people live even today in the Jaisalmer fort, so it is living structure, the Red Fort is a museum today (there will be video from the Red Fort too, soon)

My Rajasthan , there are many many forts in Rajasthan on Mountains ,u can find minor forts every 5-10 km on hills. I love to visit them especially those that are not so famous so that i can observe it well .

But current Sindh of Pakistan has lost its culture to Pathan culture.
